It was just one kiss but her body seemed to have been interpreting it in different ways -- his soft breath against her skin, the tenderness of his lips and then he drew back, wanting to know how receptive her body was towards the kiss. Though she was swooned by his semblance, she decided not not to be taken aback by his oh-so-deceiving touch.
"Is this all you could come up with--- for me to throw myself at you and forget everything?" Alma's eyes were already teary and then she looked up at his face and continued "Is that it? What were you thinking, Kenan? What did you actually take me for? Did you think that I would run straight into your arms at the sight of you, or I would beg more the moment you kissed me? You must be shitting yourself." She tried to push him aside and escape his presence but he held her arm.
"Alma." He called out, in an almost whisper-like tone. "I should be the one asking you that. What do you take me for?"
