章節 43: A Frail Roommate

One room would have to contain two students regardless of their year meant Arthur would have to sleep in with an unknown or probably a known colleague,not that he cares in the first place.

His presence walked through the hallway without an ounce of pressure as the other students who were settling in watched him go,some with admiration and others with hatred and disgust.

After arriving infront of his room,he slowly barged in thinking his soon to be roommate wasn't yet in,however to his suprise,he saw a frail looking boy with curly black hair whose glasses complimented his looks so well.

Just staring at the individual Infront of him reminded him so much of his past self,the Arthur that couldn't even raise a finger to a mosquito.

"Hi..um Brother Arthur,my name is Quinn and I'm glad to be sharing my-no wait this room with you".

A bit flustered,or maybe too flustered Arthur thought to himself.

"Not bad,it's either he's good at hiding his intentions or this is just him".He inwardly said nodding his head towards Quinn.

"And he hasn't entered the ranks of an awakened I see,he's pretty weak".

Although Quinn didn't understand why he would nod at him,he still took it as his way of responding to his words

"Brother Arthur"

"Just call me Arthur".

"Ok..Arthur could I ask where your stuffs are,so I could help with the arrangements".

Quinn sounded,turning his body around to face the walking body of Arthur

"Don't worry i have that covered, besides it's not like the event is going to last that long".

"Oh-oh ok".

"Hmm,is there any issue?"Arthur bluntly asked noticing the unease which seemed to envelope the body of Quinn.

"It's just that-i wish for you to train me..see I'm a first year and I get bullied a lot due to my physique and my background as an orphan"

Arthur's eyebrow slightly rose up in confusion.The boy Infront of him wanted him to train him,where did this come from.

"I had witnessed your fight and wish for you to tutor me".

"No.."

Before Quinn could continue,Arthur's body had already disappeared from the room,as if he hadn't been there in the first place.

But this wasn't going to destroy his resolve to train under Arthur.He slightly tapped his glasses up to balance it well with a feint smile plastered on his face

"I'm not going to give up that easily."

"I can't afford to have a load slowing me down,I need to get powerful... quickly"Arthur inwardly said.

After everyone had finished settling in,they were asked to come to the hotel's great dining hall for breakfast.It didn't take long for every student to start moving towards the hall,well all except two.

One was Arthur who no one knew of his whereabouts and the second was...Quinn.

Inside his room which seemed a bit empty sat Quinn on his bed.A swirl of green aura slightly pulsing around his entire body.

One may think that due to his lacking physique,Quinn was someone who possessed a useless ability,contrary to their thoughts he was someone with a useful ability.

"Currently,my ability isn't one which allows me to enhance my strength,not that I had any in the first place.But if I can manage to become Arthur's student,my strength might take a turn"

An ability needed a foundation,a good one at that's,hence without any combat prowess Quinn had decided to channel his ability to become a true awakened,with this he could at least have an increase in his physical stats after each breakthrough.

"Is this it...after soo many tries I've been able to channel my ability now,and I'd heard of rumours which said to become a true awakened you would have to face yourself".

Standing Infront of Quinn was an exact replica of himself,however something felt different.The replica stood with brilliance,a clear confidence in it's strengths.

This same experience was one Arthur had taken to become an origin ranked awakened.

It's replica slightly tapped it's glasses up to balance it properly as it's figure vanished leaving behind a green trail of aura.

This was the ability Quinn had...Blink.The ability granted him the access to teleport short and long distances between space as far as his current self allowed him.

If he wanted to unlock the full potential of his 'Blink',he would have to first become a true awakened entering the ranks and progressing towards the top.

"Huh-wait"

The replica's fast movement had caught him off guard and his failing physique wasn't helping either.Before his body could even take a step,it had been flunged across the strange space in which he found himself in.

FWUUSH!!

Quinn's body slid off the ground bouning off and on as he came to a stop."wh-why is he this- strong".

Quinn couldn't grasp why his replica held this much strength but what he understood was,he could also use blink just from how much power the huge green core which was situated in the middle of the strange space was radiating.

Just as it's replica blinked through space, Quinn's body did the same.Even if Quinn could match his replica in terms of speed with his blink he still had to find a solution for the gap in their strengths.

"This...this will be rather unsettling".Quinn voiced out as his body slid across the ground,once again vanishing with a green trail being left behind.

"I can feel it...I'm getting close to the prime rank,it won't tell long until I breakthrough to become a prime awakened".Arthur voiced out as he slowly opened his eye.

Surrounding his body were different and many images of planets as well as over a thousand rank 2 beast cores on the ground.It seemed as if Arthur was inside his limitless void.

A skill which he had purposely used to escape the grasp of the boy he had met in his room,a supposed room mate.

"Now....now,I think I know what to do with these cores.".

Arthur said staring at the shop tab Infront of his sight.
