Whilst the armies of the lich king made their move, deep in the mountains where hardly a soul walked a figure hissed out.

Not enough, its not enough!

"Reeelaxx…" 

The Necronomicon hissed, Riel scowled. They had hardly found a human soul, most of their collection was beast with hardly much to go off of. Whilst only three human souls were scraps at best. Heavenly to him even now. 

He felt stronger, but not by much.

They had built themselves a small army of zombie dogs and varying other animals. 

Amongst them three zombies in a bad shape. Riel found those humans hiding away in a small shack in the mountians. He had butchered them for the sole purpose of taking just their souls.

But the book had other ideas, raising them to serve as mindless beast. That is the difference after all. Where as necromancers and other practitioners can raise the dead through means of manipulation, liches can do so by calling forth the souls of the dead.
