The paramedic stops you. "Please go to the front desk to fill in the forms. Does he have any family that you can contact?"

"No, sorry. He has no one. I...I...guess it's just me. Where are they taking him??"

"They'll be taking him to the examination room. The receptionist should be able to help you get to his room. Please go fill in the forms."

"Okay." You walk to reception like someone that's lost. You stare straight ahead.

"Mam, can I help you?" The receptionist tries to get your attention.

"Uh..yes..yes...I need to. The man they just brought in. The paramedic said I. We were...It's my birthday..."

"Mam...Man, please sit. I'll go get you some water." You sit down and wonder where did they take Jack.

Michelle sweeps you into a hug "Lilly! Thank God! Are you okay??" You feel dead inside. All you can think about is Jack. "Where's Jack, Michelle?"

"Oh honey, let's talk to this lady. She can help us."
