Arden heard the Karen screaming outside of Theo's house as he was about to close the door, "HEEEEEEEEEEEEEY! YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE, HOW CAN A LOWLY PEASANT GET INTO THE PLACE FOR HIGH-CLASS PEOPLE?"
He moved the door wide open and saw the Karen with the group of some ladies. All of them using much expensive jewellery all across their clothes and over make up on their face.
As the group of ladies saw him, they laughed loudly while covering their filthy mouth with their hands. Arden was confused about them laughing at him and lower his head down to examine his clothes.
That's when he noticed it was a little shabby and there is some part of it a little bit dull. He raises his head again and responded to them, "Good luck ladies, hahaha"
He closed his words with a loud laugh, making the situation escalating to the next level. Fortunately, he closed the doors and ignore everything being said from the group of Karens.
After he closed the door, he went to the living room and sees Maverick and Austin with a confused face on their face. Both of them asked, "What is taking so long sir?"
He giggled while covering his mouth before answering, "Nothing, just a little bit of disturbance"
Both of them seem satisfied with his answer and just say, "Oh" to him before staying silent. Arden then makes his way to his seat and sat down there, waiting for Theo to come back from the kitchen.
Right after he sat at the chair, Theo came back from the kitchen with a tray of cup filled with tea. He began placing the tea to all the guest while making a little conversation.
"Thanks, Theo for letting us stay here for a few days," Arden stated while a little bit bowing to Theo.
"No, I want to thank you for accepting my son as your squire" Arden saw his squire behind Theo with a little smile across his face.
All of them drink the tea at their cup in silent, and no one dared to start the conversation. After they were done, Theo said to him, "I have prepared rooms for all of you, let me direct you there"
Almost immediately, smiles showed up on their faces and all of them began walking toward the hallway of the house and to the room Theo directed.
It's 3 different room given to them. The boys stayed in the same room and the mysterious man and Arden got their separate room. Once again, Arden bowed to Theo and thank him for providing them with accommodation.
Theo once again said it's no problem and just thank him for taking care of his son and he left the place afterwards. Leaving Arden in front of his room, standing and not knowing what to do.
With all his common sense as a human, he decides to enter his room and pack his stuff, so he does exactly that. After he was done with all his packing, he lay down at the bed facing the ceiling.
Slowly but surely, he become a little sleepy and decided to "rest his eyes" and ended up falling asleep on the bed.
Time passes as he sleeps and he was woken up by the sound of people outside of the house. He yawned and asked himself, "What is going on? Why is there so much commotion when I'm asleep?"
Then he realized, the sound of the crowd screaming and shouting at the direction of the house. He began panicking and rush through the door to see if there is any problem.
He reached the living room and began searching for something that is wrong. As he sees everywhere using his eye, he noticed the small opening on the door and thought, "That's not normal!"
Arden then rushed to the door and opened it only to find the house surrounded by people and his squire, page and Theo standing while nervously sweating in front of that many people. And there she is, standing in the front of the crowds of angry mobs with her smug face.
Arden looked around once again before seeing the symbol of many various houses in the kingdom. The one he saw at the book of nobles and already knew what kind of houses are they, merchants.
The noble houses that raise from giving the corrupt king, King Haldric the 8th, a big amount of money. The kingdom almost got destroyed from corruption.
Fortunately, King Lodoric rebelled and claimed the throne. He was the great grandfather in the law of King Austria, the deceased king.
The merchants are the type of people that only look for benefits for their selves. The fact is undeniable… Most of them are, while about 2% of merchants are different.
They group up under the strong noble house in the past and bully the one that looks weak in their eyes. One of the examples is Arden and now, he couldn't do anything and just wait for help to come.
He and his friend retreated back inside the house and hide there while hoping for the help to come. Theo suddenly said, "What should we do?"
It took Arden a few minutes of going around the room while rubbing his chin before he could answer, "The most possible and logical sense to do is hide and wait for help, from the warrior families or something"
Theo nodded before telling crucial information, "This house has a secret room with a one-sided window at the attic. We could examine the situation up there and see if there are any changes"
He couldn't be more serious at this time. He began hatching a plan in his mind, 'Should I go there and examine the situation? No, would be too risky for a non-fighting character like Theo if the door is going down'
Then, all of them heard the door getting rammed by something and wouldn't last for minutes, 'Damn it! I shouldn't have told that in my mind, expectation becomes reality!'
Theo shouted at him, "We should get to the secret room!"
And almost immediately, all of them rushed to the stair with Arden at the last position and his back exposed to the crowd if the door suddenly open.
That's when his vision became unclear and his head starts aching so much that he almost screamed. While his vision is unclear, he looked around just to realize he forgot one person, "Where is that person? The one on the cloak!?"
He loudly asked, and everybody didn't care about it. All of them shouted at him and dragged him with his face facing the door. It burst open by the crowd as he is on the second floor with his vision still unclear.
And then… He blacks out.
And then he heard a voice, making a poetic sentence, "No one can't die, death will take all and none can command the death, unless that person has the knowledge of the universe"
The voice stopped and Arden has time to think the voice was familiar, leading to him asking his own self a question, 'Who is making the sound and sentence?'
Right after he asks himself, the voice continues, "Ruling all the gods under him, he, the one that never experienced death, finally died, and he is…"
It was unexpected by him. The face of a demon suddenly burst out of nowhere and in front of his face. The face is disfigured and half the head is only skull.
It took Arden back to the real world, and he almost screamed. Right after that, he looked around to see what is happening. Then, he realized the pile of stuff leaning against the wall and his group of friend are scared and nervous.
He stood up and as soon as he does that, Theo rushed to him and said, "Are you okay? Is there something wrong? Do you need anything?"
Arden looked at him and smiled before saying "No, I don't need anything, thank you, my head just heard a very bad poetic sentence and couldn't take it"
That's when the window behind him that provided the entrance for the moonlight suddenly makes a sound. It was like the sound of someone knocking on the window.
He turns around only to see his pet, the white tiger knocking the window while trying to open it. Almost immediately, he let it in, closed the window and began petting it.
He is confused about why his pet could reach this place but didn't ask any question. It provides emotional support to him after all.
That's when Maverick and Austin caught a glance of the white tiger and suddenly asked him, "Sir! Can we pet it too?"
Arden turn around and answered with "Sure!" Before raising it and giving it to them. Both of them immediately play with it and pet it every 30 seconds.
Then he looked out of the window to see the guards are coming. Arden sighed in relief and tell everybody there, "The guards are coming!"
All of them cheers and decide to wait patiently for the guards to free them.
