''His majesty?'' Rose slightly tilted her head, a faint furrow forming between her brows. Why did the emperor want to meet with her? What of the queen?

"Yes, Your Majesty," Vance responded with a respectful nod. "His Majesty said the initial agreement has not reached a conclusion yet."

''....Ah.'' A flicker of understanding crossed her amethyst eyes as she pieced together the puzzle. "This empress understands."

Earlier in the day, the emperor had accepted her proposal, but the agreement between them had not been finalized yet.

''His majesty asked that your majesty should be guided to the emperor's office.'' The grand chamberlain relayed another set of words

''Lead the way then.'' Rose did not put up any resistance and accepted in a composed manner. She also has some words for the emperor, concerning the agreement.
