An: hey guys. Another morning another chapter right? Self explanatory title.
Also, I've got a good idea on how to introduce him (Harald and Fafnir) to the rest of the south. Please give me suggestions for different things I've posed questions on. Like the female dragons name. As well as the magic some families in the north can exhibit.
Here we go, time to start the chapter.

Harald pov
After returning to the ship with two dragons you can guess how excited my men were.
It took the better part of an hour before they decided to come off the ships and toward our new home.
As we walk along the river bank, I see that there's actually weirwood trees lining it. The snow on the ground contrasting with the ghastly white bark and crimson red leaves makes the trees look truly ethereal.
While we began walking toward where I've decided to start my keep, Fafnir and Athena have started nipping and playing at eachother in the sky. After coming to the end we see a mountain of ice. At the bottom is a small lake where all the rivers of the island converge into one body of water.
I knew this was the spot. I can already see it. Especially with the help of Fafnir.
""this is it gentleman. Our new home."" I say to cheers.
We begin immediate construction while I call Fafnir to begin laying the ground floor of the city I have in mind.

1 month later
After a month we've finally got a general outline of the keep. Now it's up to me and the others to break off the spikes and smooth them into architecture. I've also written a missive to my brother.

Cregan,
I've no doubt that if you spoken to Karl Reed you now know the truth about me. I've gained a lot more here than I thought I would. The giants were and are as real as I've always said. They now follow me.
Additionally, I found these small but strong men called the cave dwellers. Little guys can almost out drink even me!
But I'm digressing. In 6 moons time I should be completely ready to face any and all threats. We will meet in white harbor soon. I'll give you a time and if it's agreeable we can meet before I begin my war against all those who wish to see the North under their heel.
Also, don't let anyone sway you into marriage right now. War is upon us. Trying to marry only leaves us starks vulnerable, especially if we go south to do it.
Soon enough you'll be able to come here and see the magnificence of it. In truth, had winterfell location not been such a historical spot, I believe the builder would've come here to settle and raise his family.
I look forward to Gages reaction when I arrive with his ancestors in tow. Do try to keep this silent to everyone except Gage and Karl.
Forever your brother, Harald.

I sent that off two days ago. With any luck it'll only be a few days until it reaches him. I also put my new addition to my symbol on there. Like the world serpent eating itself i put a dragon on the outside of my two wolves symbol.
I decide to stretch my legs and explore a little bit. Edris wanted to accompany me so the two of us along with a few miscellaneous men came with us for protection. There are still many dangers in the North, and I have no plan of fighting any of them on fair ground.
As we make our way to the cave I can see Edris is In a bit of a daze. I try calling out to him but it's no use.
Suddenly, out of the cave we're headed into. A great big cave lion jumps out and gives us a warning roar.
Such thing was beautiful. Spotted like a leopard, but as big as the hybrid ligers in captivity. It's head reaches at least a man's shoulder height.
I look to Edris and see his amber eyes have taken on a glow before they turn white. I swiftly catch his falling body while looking to the cat, ""Edris, you must let go of it.""
It seems my words work because my friend in my arms comes to and chuckles at me before I help him all the way to his feet and speak.
""Damn Edris. Not even born in the North and the creatures of it have adopted you,"" I laugh as does all the men while Edris rubs the back of his neck embarrassed.
I speak again, ""tis a good thing though. With the armor I have being made for you, many wouldn't understand it. Now they will."" It looks like he wants me to speak more on it but I won't. I have a cool surprise for him and Torrent and Wylan. A little thanks for all the years following my crazy ass.
As we walk back to the camp, I begin rattling off names that could be used for the cave lion.
However, at my suggestion of Simba, said cat walked up to me and rubbed his face/body down my hand like a house cat.
""Looks like we've found a name. Welcome Simba,"" Edris says full of pride. I can't blame him. I never expected him to bond with a northern animal. Much less an apex predator like the huge cave lion.

""..he also rides an ice dragon,""
It's been minutes since anyones spoken after that. The implications still setting in. Cregan decides to step in after the silence became uncomfortable.
""Let us revisit this tomorrow. I find myself incredibly tired and hungry. We shall eat and make merry tonight. Tomorrow begins our pre-planning for the war. Goodnight my lords.""
Cregan said and walked out of the godswood leaving Karl and I alone. The crannogmen speaks to me as I'm building up the nerve do speak myself.
""You must trust in Harald. Has he ever done anything that in the end didn't make sense?"" He asked me and i found myself agreeing with him even begrudgingly. Harald never lied. He just wouldn't speak about it if lying was to be involved. Now that I look back on it, he was always quiet when my father and our banners would host him and shout from the rooftops how much we hated wildings and everything they stood for.
Now such things make sense. He had plans. He always had plans. He always spoke to me of making the North strong. Said we needed two things above all to do that. Food and people.
I never got too into discussions with him back then because we were kids and I didn't understand the importance of it. Now however, after our fight when we meet which is customary between us, I must speak to him for truth about the future of the North and where he sees it going.
I reply to Karl, ""you're right. I need some time to process this. Goodnight Karl,"" i say making my way to my chambers hoping I can sleep tonight.
For tomorrow the future is going to be set, and such things are both exciting and terrifying.

Hey guys I know short chapter. But I wanted to get a transition chapter in to kinda move things along. Remember, with the ability to build with Fafnirs breath this isn't going to take 10 years to build a castle.
Hope you enjoyed. May have more out today but I don't know. It's all about how busy I end up getting. Have a great day!
