章節 2: Chapter 1: Ashley and her father
Ashley was out with her father hunting when the end of the world began. She was 19 and has been living with her dad in his log cabin. She is a skilled hunter just like her father. One day they both went hunting for deer to eat for dinner. Her father was leading her to a clearing where deer was abundant.
When they got to the clearing they spotted a pack of dog creatures (Hell Hounds) attacking and killing the deers. Ashley's father looked through the scope of his rifle and took aim at one of the dogs. BOOM! A dog fell to the ground with a hole in its head. The other dogs stopped and sniffed the air.
They started to run towards Ashley and her father. BOOM! Another dog falls with a headshot. The two remaining dogs tackle Ashley's father and start to tear into him. Ashley shoots one in the head and stabs the other until it dies.
Ashley runs to her father with tears in her eyes. He has no strength left and tells her, "Be strong A-Ashley, I Love You." With those last words the light fades from his eyes and he dies. Ashley hugs her father and closes his eyes. She makes a grave for her father and puts one of the dog heads on the ground next to it so she can remember what killed her father.
Ashley starts to pack her stuff and gets ready to head for the city. She loads the truck and brings her rifle and all the bullets she could find. Soon she is driving to New York City to meet her friend Jason. Jason is a Marine who serves his country well. He is 22 and built for surviving in the heat of battle.
Ashley gets to the city and sees half of it on fire and smoking. Gun fire could be heard in the distance. She heard a howl near her position. Ashley grabs her rifle, her pack and her hunting knife and heads toward Jason's house. The howling, screams and groans can be heard in every direction.
Out of one of the buildings a couple runs out into the street. A human like creature (Ghoul) comes running out behind the couple. Ashley takes aim and sees the hunger in the creatures eyes. BOOM! It falls to the ground with a hole in its forehead.
