章節 13: 13. You Bit Her?!
I was a good three doors away from my biology classroom.
What the hell just happened?
Suddenly my antenna like ears caught on to a familiar voice, from the distance. It was coming from the biology class.
Mr Chase?
"Ok guys we have a situation on our hands. Looks like Jeana McCredie saw the blood on the rooftop although she has described it as paint before. The clever girl found a spec of evidence on the wall. She's also done some DNA testing with a certain chemical and she has confirmed her theory, thanks to Vincent Moreno here."
A sound of a chair being thrown up against the wall was suddenly heard. My heart pounded in my chest. Who threw the chair and who would have the balls to do it infront of Mr Chase?
Curious to see who dared defied the teacher I carefully went towards the class hiding behind the wall.
"Vincent calm down." Hulio said as Luke looked seriously towards Vincent who was cracking his neck muscles towards a very silent yet a very pissed of looking Chase.
The aura in the room felt deadlier than it was before.
"Like I said before. I've already cleaned up that mess and no thanks to those damn hunters who shot me out in the woods! I had no choice but to use the rooftop as my escape and safe zone." Vincent said with a low growl, disturbing me.
Wait did he just say he got shot?!
A chill ran down my spine. Then the blood was his?
"Why would they shoot you Vincent? Don't you know we have a pact with them!"
"Well looks like they've declared war since that rogue on the loose killed one of the humans in town. It's thanks to us that we took care of that situation." He spoke darkly.
My eyes went wide as if I remembered something linking up here.
I quickly opened my red note book and turned to the page where I wrote down what I heard my father and Ted talking about.
**"The pack seems to be around four of them. But we have a hunch that the eldest of the M, Is the alpha no doubt." "Hmm, we better keep a look out for them there have been a series of accidents around lately and I have noticed that they seem to be around when they happen."**
**"Your right…there have been a lot of 187s in this town ever since we've arrived.."**
In my notes I had highlighted key words and numbers.

Pack (= gang?)
Alpha (= leader?)
They seem to be around when they happen.
My heart rate had picked up its pace one more time. It suddenly made sense Moreno Vincent It was him all along! He clearly mentioned his mess on the rooftop and not only that his pack seemed to be including the boys Luke, Diego and Mr Chase!
Wait was he the main gang leader too?
No wait calm down, there has to be a simple misunderstanding, how can I just assume these things without no proof at all?
Ted had said it was the eldest Moreno who was the pack leader.
It can't be Vincent then.
Maybe his just another Moreno? There must be more than Moreno involved in the murders in town. Besides, i'm jumping to conclusions here, I have no proof that clarifies him as a killer. I'm no detective and no shit Sherlock or no way am I Agatha Christie's bitch Poirot.
Mr Chase is right. I need to stop my little investigation before things get ugly.
Suddenly a fight had broken out between Luke and Vincent and I definitely heard loud growls that sounded like mean beasts. I heard loud crashes of chairs being thrown again.
"ENOUGH!" Boomed Mr Chase letting out a mean growl of his own, shaking me to my bones.
The commotion died down at last.
"Hunters. Vince did you see them?" Chase asked separating those two hot heads at once.
"Yeah they were both cops with other ten guys that night. I was in my full form and I can recognize them easily. If I see them again, I won't hesitate to end them." Vincent spoke darkly with a burning vendetta.
Ok. Well he's clearly got some killer issues.
"Remember were trying to catch the other rogues and protect our area. We can't let them cause more trouble for us." Mr Chase said with a serious tone.
What the hell are rogues?
"That's ok brother. I on the other hand gave a gift to McCredie the other day. Didn't you see how she looked when she ran out of the class earlier? Her eyes were the start of her transformation." Vincent said in a dark amusing tone.
Wait he saw my eyes?!
I wasn't delusional then? My heart pounded out of fright, as I remembered my once glowing eyes in the bathroom, where I almost had a melt down.
"It's strange she should have transformed but it seems she controlled herself?" Vincent said confused.
Suddenly out of nowhere, Mr Chase sucker punched Vincent against his jaw.
"You bit one of my students!" Mr Chase seethed with anger in his tone.
"I had my reasons Chase. She's going to be one of us." Vincent said rubbing his jaw and looking back at him with no fear.
"Unlike us, we were born with it! You're lucky she survived the bite or we'd have more trouble with the hunters. Now that you bit her, her transformation will take time to get use too. Brother you better take responsibility for your actions and look out for her." Mr Chase responded strictly.
I heard a series of laughter from Hulio and Luke
Ok I have official lost the conversation not making any sense.
What the hell Mr C?!
How can Vincent bite me? I saw him for the first time today and the only physical contact that his had so far with me was feeling me up beneath the table. That damn pervert!
What gift is he talking about anyway? Why do they keep referring to me as one of them??..i've just seen Vincent Moreno for the first time and he talks like he knows me?
Why am I still eavesdropping when I should be heading home and trying to check myself out in the bathroom mirror again. I'm pretty sure it was some bad side effects of the pain killer drugs I took earlier on, nothing more.
I was just seeing things.
Because let's be real guys, no one has glowing eyes like that ok!
That's just crazy.
"After all, she doesn't seem to know the real truth about her brothers does she?" Vincent said making my ears twitch.
"Leave the Caesars alone Vince they are only doing their duty to protect this town."
My step-brothers? Why are they talking about Roman and Derek? They are the ultimate pricks and I live them. But now I was scared for them. What does Vincent have against my brothers?
"Eric McCredie and Ted Holsden. These cops have no idea who they are messing with, and I'm not sure I'll be able to stop myself from injuring one of the Caesars." Vincent said dead seriously.
My heartbeat was running a mile. Vincent Moreno was now after my step-brothers! What the hell did they ever do to you?! I was on panic mode. I need to get out of here now! These guys are dangerous and I need to call Aria and ask her more about them. Just who the hell am I messing with here?
"Shutup, guys can you all hear that?" Hulio asked making their private conversation drop.
"It looks like we have a certain eavesdropper listening in on us Mr C?" Luke said.
I'm nowhere near the door, and these scary growling @ssholes are on to me!
The only thing I could hear loudly in my ears was the sound of my rapid heartbeat..Before they got out of the class to inspect the hallways. I already ran down the long hallway, not daring to stop.
"I SEE YOU JEANA! WE'LL BE WATCHING YOU!"
A loud shout from Luke echoed through the now empty hallways as I finally made my exit out of the school building!
