章節 7: Not Dead !
As these people were deciding the ownership of the items brought back by Jack and his squad the formal was having his own little chat with his brothers in squad and after the auction was over he asked The President that he would like to give 70 percent of the money earned through this auction to his dead brother's family.
After the auction, the rich people were discussing things among themselves and were quite busy but the moment they heard Jack, an awkward silence filled the meeting hall as those people were making weird faces which was not hidden from Jack and the others and they were not sure if they said something wrong. Is it wrong to ask money for their brothers families.
The President was lost for words and didn't know what to say for a few moments and as if sorting his words he said;
"Jack, I don't know what you witnessed inside but your brothers are not dead"
What! How can this be ?? We witnessed with our own eyes how they died by the hands of the Fire-tailed monkey. And soon after that they turned into light particles and vanished into thin air.
Sir, can i ask where my brothers are right know and can we meet them ??
"Actually they teleported four days before you came back, all near the gate and were unconscious at that time and are still unconscious even as we speak. So, I don't know if it's a good idea to meet them at the moment".
Jack was confused and so were his brothers and didn't know what to say at this point. Afterall how can dead people come back to life, but at this point they don't even want to know the reason as long as they were alive.
As they were taking, a man in black came from back near Mr. President and whispered something in his ears and returned to his position. The moment he heard what the man in black said his expression changed from awkward to that of smile and said,
"It seems that one of your brothers had just woke up and i think we could get our answer regarding their death".
Jack was naturally happy to hear this news and so were the others and after a few minutes it was decided that only Mr. President and his few trusted people along with Jack and Michael will meet the patient. And so they rush to the medical clinic that was on this very building on the first floor. After entering the patient ward where only three patients were there, as two were sleeping on their beds while one was awoke.
After seeing the man whose name was Layn laying on bed he relaxed and breathed a sigh of relief and after arrange his thoughts he walked near the bed along with everyone else and then asked Layn,
Layn, are you feeling good ?
'yeah leader, is there any problem?
And when did we returned back from there?'
Do you remember what happened after our last fight?
'yeah, that damn monkey shot a fireball at my face.'
After that??
'After that i felt unconscious and the next thing i remember is that I'm was laying on this bed.'
So, are you telling me that you don't know what happened during that fight?!
'Leader, i really don't know anything after that fireball as i lost my consciousness.'
Well, to tell you the truth that fireball took your life and you died during the fight along with the two sleeping beside you.
'But how could i have died if I'm alive in front of you.'
It seems that if someone dies inside the training hall they got revived and teleported outside the gate just like a videogame as we got a system panel and levels like a game too.
Layn's started feeling dizzy after knowing about his death in training hall and hence was not feeling well and so Jack told him to rest and walked away with everyone else and so they returned to the meeting hall as others were waiting impatiently for Mr. President.
After walking in the hall, Mr. President told everyone about the situation and the information he got about the revival and asked them not to disclose this information or any other that the got from Jack to the public anytime soon so that they could further investigate the situation inside and during this time they could research the items brought back from that world and see if they could be used by them by any means.
Jack and the others were escorted outside and were told that the money will be transferred to their bank accounts, on the mean time they take a hollyday and spend sometimes with their family as they could not enter the gate anytime soon due to the system warning that told them that 'after every return, they have to wait for sometime before they could enter again. And hence they left to their home happily.
Inside the meeting hall,
"As you know the importance of the information regarding the gate. This means that the shift in power will happens if we not take some effective measures and so i would like to ask for your opinions regarding the Gate and what should we do next", said Mr. President.
'we don't have enough information regarding the gate but we have the samples from inside. So, i suggest that we should send different investigation teams inside and during that time we should research the things that we got and see if there is any value in them', said head of the one of the Pharma heads.
And so the meeting was over with the plans for future and everyone left with a thinking of their own.
