"I hope to see you in a different circumstance, Princess, and I am sorry for being an asshat. I am just doing my job, my lady. I hope you won't take it seriously, and you won't hate me." Rick said after he opened my old room for me.

I wanted to tell him how can I not despise him when he kidnapped me. But I remained composed, for I knew how he would react if I fought him with my insults.

"Can you bring me to my father now?" I asked, trying to sound as sweet as possible, but he shook his head.

"I am not in the position to decide on that matter, Miss Ganzon. I am just a mere employee of your stepmother, waiting for her further instructions on what to do with you."He responded, and I couldn't hide the disappointment on my face.

"But don't worry. I am sure you will see your dad as soon as possible because Carmen couldn't wait for you to meet again after a long time." He added with a genuine smile.
