章節 1: Chapter 1: Understanding

She had been here for three days already, mindlessly wondering about as she took down strange black creatures, yet she was no stranger to killing creatures of the dark.

How she had gotten her?

Even she didn't know as one second she been walking, and the next, she ended up here.

Frustrating? Truly so, but difficult? Hardly, although it was tedious to travel without a destination in mind, or a particular direction to head towards. She really was lost, stuck with eliminating pesky creatures of the dark and not seeing any form of human civilization in sight.

It was only after a few days of travelling though, that she happened to meet these strange bandits who had attacked her for no apparent reason, and yet there was a tinge of excitement for her to figure out things.

And here we start her journey. The Journey of The Knave.

-------

"Tell me where this place is?" asked a dark ethereal like voice. It dripped with elegance and grace, yet lacked the human touch to it. "I will ask one more time, or the only thing that you will not be missing is just your teammates?"

Scattered around the forest clearing were various faunas corpses, or to be much more precise, the corpses of the white fang, an organization fighting to be free of oppression and discrimination. A gurgling noise could be heard as a single individual struggled to breathe. His white and black outfit had been stained with blood, and his mask had fallen off a while ago to reveal a brown tanned face, a small set of wolf ears on top of his head, glowing yellow eyes, and sharp teeth.

Being a few feet off the ground, he attempted to open the iron vice grip, that was threatening to crush his throat. In front of him was the most beautiful lady he had ever seen. Long white hair that extended down to her waist. Streaks of black dotted the front of her fringe. Her eyes were a combination of black and red X marks that shone sinisterly in the dark night. Her pale like skin and gorgeous features, coupled with her outfit made her look intimidating. Dressed in a white twin tailed coat, a black long sleeved undershirt and long black pants that hugged her figure, it made her look dangerously charming. Her black red golden heels shined in the moonlight along with her many silver decorations and pieces as she stood before him.

Bringing the struggling white fang member towards her she peered into his eyes, her curiosity intrigued at the struggling specimen. "Will you speak? Or will I have to have to end your life like I did to the others?"

The white fang member quickly nodded, terrified at the notion of dying as he could feel his consciousness slipping away. With a flick of her wrist, the member dropped onto the ground coughing and gagging as he tried to regain his bearing. " I-I-I don't know what you want lady?! I'm just an ordinary member!"

As he looked up, he saw her take a seat on a red spiral like chair, created from what would seem to be pure red energy. He slightly moved away as he saw her cross her legs and rest her head against her hand, watching him like a hawk, yet acting bored at the same time. "Where is this place and why did you attack me?" the soft voice filled his ears again as he gazed up at her.

"W-w-we're on Remnant ma'am" ,his voice slightly tensed up as he saw her eyes light up slightly. "We're near the city of Vale, a kingdom run by the council."

"Intriguing" ,muttered the woman as she lifted up one of her hands. A spike made of red energy burst out from the ground and stopped mere millimeters from his throat. Sweat poured down the man's forehead as he let out a slight whimper in surprise. "You still haven't answered my question" ,uttered the woman once again.

"M-m-ma'am, I'm apart of an organization called the White Fang" ,answered the terrified man, his eyes never leaving the curved spike at his throat. "We're fighting for our rights and freedom and ou-."

"And yet you kill and rob innocent lives in the pursuit of your goal." The woman slightly leaned forwards. "You believe that the only way to achieve this goal is to cause terrorism and chaos to get your message across. Am I correct?"

"W-w-we fight for the ri-."

"You will say nothing more", interrupted the woman. "You still have not told me why you attacked me."

He didn't know what to say. Sure they had been intrigued at her scythe at the first glance, and had wanted to steal it from her, seeing how she might be a threat to their cause, but there really wasn't a probable reason. His brain short-circuited for a moment, trying to come up with a reasonable explanation. "P-p-please let me live." He begged. The only thing he could do at the moment was beg for his life. "I'll do anythi-."

His begging did not persist any further as the woman raised her hand up and the curved spike went through his throat, killing him instantly and turning him to ash. With a heavy sigh, the woman stood up from her chair and continued her walk towards the Kingdom Of Vale. The chair behind her magically vanished into nothing as she made it her destination. She had read and heard that it was a place that taught and tutored gifted individuals how to wield their powers, much like a vision.

Walking past the corpses, she waved her hands, causing pillars of flames to consume them into absolute nothingness before trudging on deeper into the forest, her thoughts keeping her company as the darkness consumed her being, and the forest once again gained its serenity.
