Xu Feng stirred in the early evening, feeling the warmth of the fading sunlight peeking through the opened window. He blinked his eyes open, adjusting to the dimming room, the golden hues of dusk painting the walls in a serene glow. A soft breeze danced through the window, carrying with it the scent of blossoming flowers from the gardens outside.
Lying in bed, he stretched lazily, the exhaustion of the…day, clinging to his limbs. The room had a gentle quietness embracing every corner. The familiar sights of his room greeted him, the neatly arranged furniture, the subtle fragrance of incense lingering in the air.
As he gazed up at the ceiling, a serene calmness washed over him. The day had been a whirlwind, but now, in this quiet moment, he felt a sense of peace settling within him.
His body was a bit sore from the last battle, but it wasn't anything to write home about. Still, he wanted to lay in bed for a bit longer.
