"Not again!"

Xu Si's outburst echoed through the dining room, her frustration bare for all to see as she completely forgot her manners in her exclamation. 

But in the middle of the chaos, no one checked her, not even Xu San, who simply picked up the pace to place the final dishes on the table. 

The older girl, and steward of the estate, quickly cast a bewildered glance at the small table where the young masters' baskets were kept before serving the final dish.

"How did this happen?" Xu San muttered to herself in confusion.

The baskets had been strategically placed on an elevated table to curb any attempted escape. Da Long and Xiao Long had even been separated into different baskets to prevent the slippery Da Long from influencing his sibling. 

Yet, in the brief few minutes it took for the girls to serve dinner, the two eggs had managed to slip out of their 'prisons,' making a daring escape into the fading light of the sunset.
