His father stood up and left with Juno and soon after, Zane stood up from the dining table. He made his way back to his room to freshen up for the day. On his way out, he stopped by the West Wing, and sure enough, Xavier was still sleeping. He used the stairs and headed down.

The Valois mansion was really beautiful was what Zane thought as he walked down the cobblestone path on his way to the garden. He walked to the edge of the pond. There were several rockeries stacked at the edge. A stone arch bridge spanned the water and he saw bright, red koi swimming around, creating ripples on the pond's surface.

Zane placed both hands together, "Please bring me luck."

"Speaking of luck. System, I need to purchase a few things. One, I need something that can tell me when someone gazes at me has passed one minute uninterrupted.."

"Does Host not think that your father would keep his promise?"

I hope your holidays are going well. I have good news, I will be participating in the WSA this year. I am excited and nervous but my resolution is to be more proactive in my writing.

The title is 'I am tired of being a hero'. The book would be a cozy mystery meets slice of life set in a superhero alternate universe. I hope you all will enjoy it.
