Penelope got far away from the crowd to the long tables, which held the freshly cleaned glasses the servants had to pour more drink into and went back around the room serving the guests. She smiled at a palace maid, who was surprised to see her there.
"Don't mind me. I am not looking to cause any trouble. I am just hiding," she said, explaining why she was all the way over where there were not many people.
The maid looked down at the floor and then hurried away.
Penelope was puzzled by the maid's reaction. She had been in the palace many times for the maid to know who she was and that she could trust that she would not be looking to make all the glasses fall off the table.
The next side story is Alessandra and Edgar meeting, but she does not wear a mask.
