"I-impossible. No. No way. My granddaughter...is a half-vampire now?" Bíng Huo's grandpa fell to the chair with a loud thud. The old man slumped on the chair as sweat trickled down his wrinkled face. 

His eyes looked like a dead fish. The pupil turned white, and maybe he would faint with foam flowing out of his mouth. 

"My...granddaughter…" 

"Uh...grandpa? Are you ok?" Bíng Huo released Xi Xue's arm and approached her grandfather. He seemed like he's about to die any moment 

"You think I'm okay?" The old man grunted. He shook his head and let out a long sigh. "Are you truly...a half-vampire now?" The old man looked up at the girl while still slumping on the chair. 

He didn't have any energy to fix his posture. All he could do was to look at his one and only granddaughter, seeking affirmation. 

"Well, yes, that's true. I...become a half-vampire." Bíng Huo shrugged. She then came closer to her grandfather before hooking the old man's arm.
