Jia dragged her feet in the Bureau with a dropped expression. Ever since she saw the scale tip up with the weight she didn't want to see, it was as if she lost all her energy for the day.

"Good morning Inspector Song," Officer Xiyang greeted her.

"Morning Xiyang," she said in a dispirited tone.

She looked across the office and felt some officers staring at her. But they quickly averted back their gazes as if they weren't paying attention to her at all.

…They were looking at me, right?

Slightly panicked, she looked down at herself and gulped.

Is my weight gain that visible? Is my uniform looking too tight?

She bit her lip inwardly, mild anxiety setting in.

"Inspector Mo just reached before you. He was asking for you."

"Is that so? Okay, I will go and meet him."

Jia threw a glance around again and couldn't help but feel agitated.

I need to do something about my weight. I cannot let it increase more than this…
