the end-of-the-year exam has come, so I'm going to be busy studying and so new chapters will be a LOT slower to come out

"Xian, I would like to request that you join our team," Finn offered, extending his hand forward.
"What is your intention for inviting me?" I looked at the extended hand.
"Well, to tell you the truth, you are the strongest person I have ever seen, and having you will make our team casualty rates drop by a significant margin. While we can provide food and shelter when you are resting, it's a win-win situation, no?" Finn explained. I smiled at the reasoning
"I was planning to join from the start, but it seems great minds think alike." I took his hand, accepting the invitation.
"Great! Let me introduce you to the team." He turned to the others who were resting and on guard duty, grabbing their attention.
"Alright, everyone! A new person will join us in this expedition. Treat her with respect."
"Greetings," I briefly greeted, but some people seemed displeased by my arrival. One adventurer raised his hand in objection.
"Captain, we trust your decision, we truly do, but we need to ration our supplies, and adding her will only throw off our calculations in the supply life expectancy," he stated his reason.
"I know some of you will object to this decision, but trust me, she is a valuable asset to the team," Finn explained, and the objector hesitantly lowered his hand. Since Finn has always been right in all circumstances, they decided to wait and see.

After the rest of the party recovered, we moved on to advance through the 29th-floor Dense Forest Ravine—a large, dense forest covering most of the next few floors inhabited by dinosaur-type monsters. Due to our large group, every monster in the vicinity would take notice and attack, forcing us to use our stamina to battle.
*Slash* Decapitating the last velociraptor, I sheathed my blade and turned my attention to the team's conditions. With Finn's leadership and the help of Ais and me, they were mostly fine, as some were only left with bite marks on their armors.
We quickly moved on, as the sound of the battle would attract more monsters, and exhausting ourselves further would be the worst idea.
Continuing to move along the rough forest ground, I quietly stood on the frontline and sensed Finn approaching me from behind. He walked alongside me, and after some silence, he spoke.
"Thanks for killing most of the monsters back there," he referred to the last battle.
"It was part of the deal; I would help your frontline while you provide me with food and shelter," I said.
"Still, I thank you." Finn thanked again, but our conversation was cut short by a shout.
"WE GOT COMPANY!" One of the scouts ahead shouted, and all of us brandished our weapons for the monsters.
"MONSTERS SPOTTED AT OUR BACK!" The rearguard shouted.
"FUCK, MONSTERS FROM BOTH FLANK!" The scouts warned, signaling us to be surrounded.
"Circle formation, healer, mages, coverage to the middle, frontliners protect the mages!" Finn quickly gave out orders, his face grim due to the circumstances. He quickly moved to one of the sides of the team while I moved to the other side, and Ais moved behind to protect the flank.
Soon, the horde came into our sights. I took the initiative and dashed toward the fray. 'Second, the rivers of blood under the blood moon,' I said under my breath as my demeanor changed from calm to serious.
*Slash* *Slash* *Slash* Three instantaneous slashes appeared, killing three monsters instantly, but three more monsters replaced their spots.
"Wynn Fimbulvetr!" Lefiya chanted, and a massive blizzard formed over a horde of dinosaurs, slowing down their advance and freezing them when they stood inside it long enough.
I lowered my stature and dashed to the gap between the monsters, leaving slashes in my wake as each one took the life of a monster. Sensing danger, I pivoted my steps and dodged a bite from a Bloodsaurus. I sheathed my blade and executed a sword technique. I stood still as many monsters rushed toward me.
Many sword marks appeared around me as the surrounding dinosaurs were instantly killed. As soon as more came into range, they were killed instantly by an invisible slash.
Killing almost all of the dinosaurs that surrounded me, I turned my attention toward the team. They seemed to be able to hold on with the commands from Finn, and with me redirecting 1/4th of the dinosaurs, the burden they faced lessened.
I dashed toward another horde of mobs to continue my massacre.

Sheathing my blade, signaling the end of the battle, I returned to the team. Only a couple of people lay on the ground, and healers distributed their potions while using magic and bandages to heal them.
Ais saw my returning figure. She went over to me.
"It was spectacular to see you jump into them and kill without a scratch," Ais complimented.
"Your skills have improved" I complimented back
