章節 4: Demon Alpha
"Can you please at least because if me don't let this heart stop?" Storm said to me raising her nose in disgust.
"You better shut it" I said to her in my head.
She then pouted looking at me as I almost entered Alec. I know if Alec could possibly see all I imagined him of in my heart, he would be shocked. What have I not compared him with? A Greek god, a Prince, tell me and I would tell you more than you could ever imagined.
"You are so hilarious Jessy" he said smiling.
" Yes it sounds funny but it's true. I think he's a werewolf just like everyone else" I added boldly.
My brother Damion walking hurriedly in cut our conversation short.
"There you are Alec" he said.
I didn't like the way he came in and ruin my moment. Although Alec is Damion's friend, I still envy him for having to spend much time with him while I just wait untill he drops by once in a while.
The truth is my brother and I weren't as close as we use to be and that came from my side. Damion is too protective. He wouldn't ven let me go to parties without him. He would scare off all those handsome guys that least show interest in me in the name of protecting my heart. I even think that his protectiveness is the one that is making Alec not show me a feeling except for those sister's feeling. But I wanted more so I drifted away from him and fights him everytime he meddle in my affair. That didn't stop him though.
About myself, no one need to tell me that I'm a very beautiful young girl with a long blonde. My mother always tell me I took after my dad's mother been that she's from another pack. My friends will tell me that they would stick to the mirror if they have the face and beauty that I pissed.
"What's up" Alec asked.
"Didn't you hear about the letter?" Damion asked.
" What letter?" Alec frowned.
Looking at the way Damion was acting, it wasn't a good news at all. So I focused to listen to the details.
"The demon alpha wrote us a letter that he's visiting" he explained.
" What!" Alec exclaimed.
I could see how he became suddenly agitated. I was supposed to be scared because I know this is going to be a bloody war but I wasn't to my own surprise. My brothers are good warrior. I don't think they've lost any battle.
"The counsel is in uproar because of that stupid letter that was delivered by the postman this evening" Damion said.
" We need need to prepare for whatever is coming" Alec said touching his forehead like he caught an headache.
I stood up not liking to see Alec this way. It makes me sad. I really hated this demon alpha for doing this to the man I so much care about.
"I don't think you need to get so flustered because of this alpha's letter. Just figure out what to do" I said softly particularly talking to Alec.
"You don't know who we are talking about Jessy. This man is a demon that doesn't care about anyone's life. Whosoever he visits, it's all death so stay out of this" Damion said harshly.
" Don't take it out on her. She's just been concerned" Alec scolded and that's why I live him more. "What's father doing?"
"He's with the counsel, trying to figure gure out what to do " he replied.
" What did he say we did to him that's making him to visit us" I asked.
I knew even the devil will have a reason to fight even if it's not genuine. So this so called demon would definitely have something to hinge on. With everything that I've heard of him, I knew something must have attracted him.
"I don't know" Damion replied.
I sense in his voice that he is hiding something. I didn't care though. I'm not someone who is not so curious about things that doesn't concern me. Although I'm a warrior too but people hardly know. I'm like a secret warrior and weapon to my father.
"When is he coming?" Alec asked.
"He didn't state it. He said we should expect him anytime soon" Damion said.
Alec gritted his teeth. " If he is man enough, he shouldn't be sneaky. He should tell us so we can be fully prepared" he said in anger.
" Let's go meet the counsel to hear the outcome of their meeting" Damion suggested.
I was sad that Alec was going but there was nothing I was going to do. I watch them as they leave and then start to think of what to do about this demon alpha. To start I took the book Alec was reading, I need to know about this man. I discovered that all they were saying about him is just like an assumption. No one knew definitely how he moves.
"He's such a mysterious being" I said to myself.
Before I could know, I heard noises like people running into the pack out.
"What's going on?" I asked one of the maids.
" The demon alpha is here" she said fearfully.
I widen my eyes. " He's here?" I asked with curiosity.
I wasn't afraid. I really want to see this demon. Especially with his description in the history book. I want to see his looks. So I ran out but a guard stopped me on the way.
"Ma'am, you can't leave" he said.
I glared at him. "Get out of my way!" I shouted.
"No ma'am. The alpha ordered you to be kept inside" he said.
This was so annoying that I felt like to hit the guy but I had no choice. I can't defile father.
I went to te window to see if I could view the scene from there and yes I could. Then I use my wolf hearing to hear what they were saying.
I was able to see father and the counsel waiting for a carriage. I felt it is pride that is making a wolf use a carriage. Isn't it's speed enough as ride. The carriage was decorated as if it's a king coming. Even the alpha king wouldn't spend such luxury. Well I didn't forget what I read about him been a lover of luxury and precious stones.
I saw the carriage and then a quite plump man got down from it. I couldn't help but burst into laughter. I knew the man was an exaggeration. He moved closer to father and father moved back. This got me angry.
The demon alpha looked around and gave a disgusted look.
"Why do we have you here?" My father said.
" Didn't you read the content of my letter?" He asked.
" We did but that's none of you business boy" my father said.
I smiled because I like the way he spoke to him. If it had been me I would have done worse.
The demon alpha gave a mysterious laughter.
"Are you joking?" He asked.
I saw my father look around and I know what that means.
"Don't even dare to bite more than what you can chew" he said with a stiff smile.
" Tell us what you want" father said.
"Well I want you to cut off your contract with the Pine pack and leave them alone" he said.
" That's not possible. You don't have any right to meddle in things that doesn't concern you. It is not your territory" father spat out.
The demon king cocked a brow. I noticed that something seem different about him. I didn't see anything that connote fierceness in him. So I have doubts.
"It borders me" he said.
"That doesn't make it yours so leave" my father said.
I was expecting war but the man just smiled and turned to leave. Father then brought out his claws and attacked him. This was when I knew the man isn't an ordinary man. He wasn't even caught off guard. He grabbed father by the neck and snapped it without a second thought.
"No!!!" I shouted from where I am.
I couldn't take this anymore. This man killed my father over what I don't even think belong to him. I sure going to kill him. I was so furious. I ran to the door forgetting that it was locked. I then ran through the secret passage of the pack house in my wolf speed.
Fight already broke out outside because I could hear noice and bones been cracked. By the time I got outside because it's a long route, there was no sign of the demon alpha. They've been everyone blue black but killed none aside my father who was lying down lifeless. I ran to my father and cried.
My father is everything I've got. Since mother died, things has not been the same and now father to is gone.
The pack physicians came to me and took my hand away from his body. They examined him and shook their head at me. I wailed loudly and bitterly. My brother and Alec were injured badly too but they could still survive. I then without thinking ran after the carriage they brought. I was going to kill that demon with my bare hands. I won't spare him.
I shifted back to my wolf and ran like a mad wolf following the carriage. In no time I caught up with the carriage but they already camped.
"You fools I'm going to end your lives" I said to myself.
I saw them eating and talking.
"That fool thought I was the demon alpha" the man who killed my father said and the other four with him laughed.
I was so ashamed of my pack because just five men took out your warriors like they were nothing. This was really a stain on our pride. The worst part is that the demon alpha wasn't even there with them. Then if this is just the demon alpha's men, how then will the demon alpha fight.
Even with this knew knowledge I still want to kill the man who killed my father like he is a goat. I want to make his dead like a chicken. I don't need to know the demon alpha but I'll sure deal with this.
I know they've sensed my presence. My wolf came out with pride. They looked at me as if I was nothing and this angered my wolf.
"Hey woman what do you want?" One of them asked me.
" Your lives" I growled.
They burst into laughter as if I make a very funny joke. This was riling my wolf's anger.
"How dare you laugh at me?" I used my alpha voice.
Well since they are not of my pack, it didn't really have effect on them but they paused and gave me a dazed. I know they didn't expect me to be an alpha wolf.
"Young woman, go home" one said.
"We don't fight women" the one who killed my father said.
" I'm no woman" I growled.
I know they were looking down on me. They didn't know I'm a female warrior. They are not even alphas because an alpha will now pause at another alpha's voice. He would rather return the voice.
They didn't say anything they just watch what I was going to do. With my fast speed, I rushed at one and bit a pound of flesh from his leg. He screamed in pain. That was when the rest knew I wasn't joking. I then faced the one who killed my father.
"You killed my father and I'll end you" I said furiously. If it was possible smoke would have been coming out of my head. The flames of anger.
"Oh" that was what the guy said and if I could get more angry I would.
With what I've done the guys were not even taking me serious but I noticed they were well prepared for me. I was waiting for the right time to attack. Then I launch an attack on the man who was my target but what shocked me and my wolf is that he caught me by the neck. I wondered how his hand could hold my alpha wolf.
Well a female alpha wolf I not really a big one but a strong one. That doesn't explain how he caught me. I was choking. The men are truely demon. It was jow I believed that they were really from hell.
"I would have killed you if the alpha hasn't warned us against killing women and pups" he said to me with his eyes shocking great animosity.
"What will you do with her?" One asked.
"Take her to the alpha. You know she already know that I'm not the alpha. The alpha would determine what will happen to her" he replied.
That was the last thing I remembered.
