章節 139: Being Of The Constellation

Ben abruptly stood from his seat and briskly walked towards the glass wall to have a closer look. If Ben hadn't put his emotions in check he was certain he would have injured either Stephan or Vivi that were with him. This his strange behaviour came from his soul.

Ben came from a civilized world where human trafficking and slave trade is abolished and condemned, that inner disagreement had instinctively kicked in.

"Ben, you are not planning on buying that young elf, are you?" Stephan walked up to Ben and asked.

"Why are they selling elf people for slavery? Isn't that illegal?" Ben asked back without once taking his eyes off the blind elf girl.

"What do you mean? She is probably an outcast in the elven kingdom, that's why she was caught by human without the elves saying anything. Although it is illegal when it comes to irrelevant people like her people will always turn a blind eye to it." Stephan explained slowly before giving out a low chuckle." I just made a pun there."

"Why would the elves cast her out?" after a few minutes of silence Ben mumbled under his breath.

A Few Hours Ago...

Standing before hundred and thousands of... soldiers were three people leading them. They stood about five meters ahead of what could be called an army, but the problem was these soldiers weren't humans... They were Demons. Thousands of Demons was led by these three commanders.

Demons in many forms spiralled throughout the land, there were even some humans amongst them, but one thing which differentiated them were their very pale grayish skin, constantly dripping wet hair and deathly black eyes that continuously bled. They were known as the possessed. Their strength varied greatly but most of all one could see that besides the three commanders and about a dozen general rank Demons no other Demon was about the strength of a mage of the first class.

to the human world a demon with the body frame of a 10 year old could be called a monster for being able to lift up a fully grown bull with his bare hands. Yes that's how crazily strong a Possessed could be much less a true Demon.

The three commanders Demons were a huge contrast of themselves. From the left was a thin and skinny man not more than 35 years old yet he had two giant Warhammer strapped on his side, it was like it never had any weight on him neither did it restrict his movement.

And over at the right was there more hulk of a man. this man prefer to keep his demonic features out. he had done a really black bat wing with a claw at the top and 3 at each wing at the end of every bone his hands held a green for pointed trident. the trident should a whole 9 ft tall just a head taller than its possessor. a single horn 3 inches long protruded his forehead.

And at their centre was a demoness, but instead of black eyes like all her companions hers was red shades for an iris. Two great and mighty broadswords was crossed on her back. she wore a black one-piece light breast plate armour and arm guards, a metal Sheen and boots.

"Ghal, are we in the right place?" the hulk of a person asked as he and every other Demon overlooked a large town filled with life 5miles away from their current location on the mountain top.

If anyone were to look at the top of the mountain from that far away they would just see and assume a large part of the mountain was burnt and the ashes scattered all over the place. The atmosphere on that area would have black smoke. However, that wasn't smoke but the thick demonic aura oozing out of them.

"Yes, we are. This is the first city we are sent to Collect, bring lure, bait, whatever you may call it, out and take the inheritor of the 'Lands." the skinny man answered so slowly and nonchalantly with was as though they weren't about to go to war.

Three minutes! It had taken the Commander-level Demon a total of three minutes just to finish a sentence. If the hulk Demon had it's way it would never have to ask the slug man questions so not too waste any if his time.

"Lady Bloodbath, should we conference with the operation from here?" the hulk Demon asked the woman which led them.

"Not now, let them see the last sunlight they'll ever see for now. We will attach by sunset. From then on, I will reign." the woman's voice was outside any expectation of lovely, but the thing is, it was too lovely because the voice wasn't that of one person but the voice of tens of soprano singers singing all at once in a low tone. One good for a lullaby, for any man the voice... or voices had an enticing charm to it. Literally!

Back To The Present....

In the auction house Bartoli gave the information regarding the space elf girl. She was just as Stephan had spoken of, an outcast. She was the first new born baby to be born with the mother dead during childbirth. It could be okay to say she liked her own mother during childbirth. This is because no elf had ever died during pregnancy delivery in the past two thousand years.

Now, if that was the case then things might have been a little different. However, the baby wasn't a normal baby, unlike normal elves when she was eight years old she was not able to harness the Mother's powers, instead it was the opposite. She had no Life Magic nor any other type of magic at all. Because of this her father was humiliated even after the death of his beloved wife whom he had stayed with for more than three hundred years.

When the elf became twelve years old she began to lose her sight. Her formal clear deep blue eyes began to get clouded, days went by, followed by weeks, and then months before years. It didn't help that she was being beaten numerous times by her father, whenever she passed by her body would be left with bruises, purple spot and cuts that was left out in the open to be infected.

Everyday she would be beaten, every chance gotten would be used to further destroy her out in the open. Until one day, when her father came into the house drunk like always and then began another round of beatings but this time he stopped. His stick didn't crack open her head like always, she felt relief, she was glad that he might have fallen unconscious due to his drunkenness. Instead what came next was a hand, her father's hand grasping one of her ass cheeks, groping her with his now rough hands.

Her eyes wide, she was afraid. Her mind went into a frenzy. She had mistakenly stumbled across a cutisan by the road when she was younger, when she could still see, and what she saw on that alley way began with the exact same actions as her father's. And then she heard it, the sound of metal, the sound when fabric hastily moves across the skin hit the floor.

She did everything in her power to thrash about, to try getting away from his grip, but alas she wasn't strong, in fact far from it, she was already malnourished and couldn't muster any strength. Days after days she was molested and beaten and taken advantage of. She thought that was her fate, to be nothing but a rag doll.

Every evening whenever she had the chance or more like whenever her father faints or doesn't even return home for some nights she would walk or crawl to the backyard that was surrounded by the forest. On a flat boulder she would lay staring at the starry sky. It became a habit.

She has been coming here for more than ten years. Every night she gets she would sleep with the stars always praying to the stars... and her mother, to take her away. Away from her house, away from the elves who care nothing about her, away from this world. She wished to be part of the stars, and in a way it happened.

Three years later on a certain night her prayers was coming to pass... at least that's what she thought. Up in the starry sky as though it was a coincidence, the very star she depicted to be here mother began to twinkle brighter. She smiled, her mother was talking to her, she though. But when that speck of dust in the vast sky turned into a grain of sand she though she was just seeing things, but then that grain of sand became the size of a pea then a thumb before growing too the size of a fist.

While she kept looking at the vast and starry sky she did nothing... or more like she couldn't do anything. How much she wished that that was her mother coming down herself to take her baby home. However, she felt that that wasn't for her, her mother want coming. She was in denial or she just felt it impossible for whatever it was that was falling from the sky to actually hit her. Her thinking made her believe she was never going to leave this hell people other than her call home.

But how wrong she was! That comet was coming straight for her. And only when it hit the last barrier in the atmosphere did she realise that anything and everything around her would perish and be pulverized if this comet was to land anywhere around her. Yet, she couldn't move, maybe she didn't want to, after all what was there to live for anyway?

Like a bolt of lightning the comet struck the ground. A funny thing happened though and that was the appearance of something... or rather someone. A being of that looked human but isn't stood on the ground. It's features could not be determined since it had no facial features, however it had the chest area of a woman but square face of man.

The elf couldn't do anything. Scream, run, hide. Nothing! She only stared and the being from the sky stared back. The elf diverted her eyes to look behind her, but what she saw made her look back at this mysterious being. A being as black as the skys itself

A being made entirely of stars.

A being of the constellations.
