“Zacky!”
Suddenly, a dead six year-old was running towards me with a look of sheer joy on her face.
I threw my arms open wide to receive her, completely floored at finding her here but able to see that she was miserable, terrified, and in desperate need of a hug. But then she got within three feet of me and it was as if she’d run straight into a pinball bumper as she bounced up into the air to land ten feet away on her rump.
Which is when I knew the Totem worked.
