章節 5: The Chimera System and the goddess of life
Right after Kawaii gave me my new name and I accepted, a few words had appeared in my mind followed by a robotic voice

Although I was confused about the voice I had no time to pay attention to it as light started shining around my body. And just as suddenly as the light started, so did the pain. Unbearable pain racked my body as shrill screams escaped my mouth. My hands covered my head as the pain forced me to my knees. I could feel my once human ears start to disappear as black feline ones grew on top of my head.
My wings were forcefully spread out as popping noises started to sound as the bones in them started to harden. The feathers on the underside of my wings slowly started changing colors from black to light gray while the top side of my wings didn't change colors at all. Just as the last feather finished changing colors a itching feeling started coming from the knuckles on my hands as scales started to form. As the first scale finished forming dozens others started as well making me scream even louder from the pain as they started traveling up my arm and stopped shortly after reaching my wrist. The pain reached a crescendo as two long canines grew on both the top and bottom of my mouth.
Suddenly all of the light surrounding me focused on my left wrist as a picture started forming just like it did on Kawaii's tails. The image was of a fox with his head in the air and his mouth open as if roaring. Two tails trailed behind him and his front left leg was lifted in the air. On his back stood a long quill like spikes raised as if angry. As the image finished forming the lights slowly faded as well as the pain.

My eyes opened wide in surprise as the voice spoke in my head. (Chimera system? DNA unlocked? What does all this mean? Wait, I got a message, from who? Okay okay just calm down. What do I know? A mystery robot spoke into my head followed by a few so-called rewards followed by a message who could very well know what's happening.)
I let out a long sigh as I thought about what was happening and after a few seconds decided on an answer. I took a deep breaths and thought the words (I accept) and then my vision went dark..... My eyes opened up to a wide empty space In Front of me. I pushed myself off the ground as I started to look around. I was mesmerized by the scene that was shown In Front of me. Dozens upon dozens of stars surrounded me.
I stood there with my mouth hanging open as a range of emotions started flowing through me. My tail started to shift colors constantly from the wide range of emotions that were going through me. My body quickly turned around as beautiful laughter sounded from behind me followed by a feminine voice
"Beautiful isn't it little chimera."
I held my breath as my eyes stared at the most dazzling figure I will probably ever see. Standing in front of me was a tall slim woman with long hair that sparkled in the starlight. Her hair was a dark shade of red that ran from her head down to just below her soldiers.
She had long legs and a good bust size that fit perfectly with her figure. Her body was covered by a beautiful red dress that started down her soldiers to squeeze around her waist and then flowed down to hover right above her ankles. Her eyes were a beautiful shade of green that could captivate any man..... and apparently woman.
"Awww"
the woman said in a teasing voice that sounded as beautiful as wind chimes flying in the wind.
"Is someone in love." The woman chuckled as her hand came to rest on my cheek. "Hmmm what beautiful eyes you have." She said as she looked at my cat's slitted eyes.
I was curious about this woman .Who was she? Is she the one who called me here and if so why?
As if reading my thoughts the woman put her hands behind her back and said "welp anyway thank you for accepting my invitation and I bet you're wondering why you're here."
No words would come out of my mouth as I was still captivated by her beauty so instead I nodded.
"Well" she said "my name is dove and I am the goddess of life. You see, the reason why I called you here is because your friend Kawaii is in danger. You see his mother just happened to be a familiar of mine that I allowed to go into the mortal realm. Of course I never imagined that she would fall in love and have a child. Her mate, Kawaii's father fell madly in love with her and gave her gifts at every chance he got. Of course her favorite gift was Kawaii himself.
One day however he stumbled upon a cave. Thinking that it would be a lovely home for his wife and child he went in to clear it of any inhabitants and by then it was too late. The cave's owner was a dragon and being the prideful monsters they are, how could they let such a lowly being just walt's into its territory without a punishment. So the dragon killed him. But before Kawaii's father died he used his remaining magic to form a large arrow in which he shot into the dragon's eye in hopes of killing it.
But all he did was set the dragon on the trail of rage. And that rage was pointed towards Kawaii and his mother. Three weeks ago Kawaii's mother died by the dragon and my soul bond attached to his mother broke, alerting me of the dragon's presence. As the son of one of my servants I vowed to protect him the best I can but as a god I can't physically meddle in mortal affairs which is where you come in." I looked at her in surprise as I finally found my voice "me?" I said in a shocked tone.
"Yes you"
she said as she looked me in the eye and continued "Unfortunately since I wasn't able to meddle in any human affairs I had to do the next best thing. So using a favor that the goddess of reincarnation and souls owed me I asked her to create a artificial soul that I could use as I please. Because of the circumstances I didn't have much time with the creation process so I just made you into a chimera, which in this world have gone extinct by circumstances that I am not allowed to tell you. So I should warn you be careful when interacting with any humans because as the last of your kind you would make a hefty price if sold in the black market or slave trade.
Watch out for any other of the demi human races as well. There are always those who would wish to do you harm in every race, however I did not leave you unarmed. Usually as a chimera grows stronger they will develop more and more traits from whatever monster they were made from. The system in which I gave you will instead allow you to unlock the DNA of not only the monsters you were made from but quite a few others as well. It will also allow you to obtain them at a quicker pace too."
Suddenly the stars around me started to rapidly flicker as wherever we were started to shake.
"Well that's all the time we have. One last piece of advice and info, that tickling session you had with Kawaii before his evolution kinda let the dragon know where you were so you might want to get ready for a fight once you wake up because he will be there in 3 hours. Also, I mentioned a artificial soul before but if your able to live for ten years without dying then your artificial soul should start to become an actual soul so you shouldn't have to worry about just no longer existing once you die. Anyway have fun and do make sure to protect Kawaii, he's the only thing I have left to remember my servant by".
And without even being able to ask a single question my vision once again went dark and I was sent back to my body.

Fox_Obsessed_Nerd Hey guys so I've got a few things to tell you.
1- the characters stat page will be in the auxiliary volume. I not going to mention there stats just for the fun of it. I will only mention the necessary stats at the appropriate times
2- for every skill you see on a characters stat page right beside it is a /// and then the words passive or active. active just means that the mc has to actually activate the skill for it to be in affect and passive means that it's will always be in affect
