"I am not paying you to just sit hidden in your room and do nothing. If it hadn't been for your request, that obnoxious redhead who dared expose my face like that would have been taught a valuable lesson by now. How long do you need?" The mysterious caller asked Doran on the phone in a rather condescending tone. 

Doran grinded his teeth in annoyance but kept his composure. He needed this man and his money.  

"It's not that easy, that piece of trash guards her so well. She hardly leaves the house nowadays and when she does, she does it with him or her bodyguard. I need a few more weeks, the plan has been set in motion," Doran answered, clutching the phone too tightly, the anger depleting his face of any emotions but hatred. 

How dare someone talk about his Skyla like that? She was his and no one else would touch her.
