章節 4: The Life is very different...

I only have two things to say.

The first is the usual, this story contains nonsense and misinformation, don't take it more seriously than it should be taken.

And the second and most important, in my opinion I didn't really like the next three chapters, but they are necessary.

Because I didn't like it so much that it took me so long to post, originally I was going to post it after I finished the first two chapters that will be released, but I didn't like it and I tried but I couldn't improve.

So I did one more, and this one was acceptable, these first two have more information that's why I didn't like it so much.

It was just that. Good reading.

While it was happening, a beautiful and harmonious meeting in the room of eight, someone nearby was not having a good night.

Like many people, Hughie Campbell hadn't been having a good day... for many days.

First, on a nice walk with her girlfriend she was torn to pieces by A-Train after he hit her with everything.

He still held her hands, and was covered in her blood.

And that wasn't even the worst thing, when that happened the panic came and so did the relief, the relief that he wasn't the one in that place, the relief that he had barely escaped.

But that only made him worse, hating himself for thinking that and feeling that.

There came a moment when he realized that he was feeling so bad about feeling this way, that he didn't even care that much about her own death, but it made him feel like shit, an asshole, that he cared more about himself than he did about her. the death of your loved one.

He didn't even realize that all of this was his way of feeling grief, it was a lot for him to process, thinking about other things makes him feel lighter, but as soon as the certainty came and the fact that she won't be there anymore, and that he won't see her again.

All the feelings come at once, like a reality check.

All the anger, sadness and frustration came at once.

Those damn Vought people wanting to put a price on her life, that shit A-Train who didn't even care enough to truly ask for forgiveness, even after not even leaving a body to be buried.

And the rest of the people who also don't care about the death of a similar person.

This made him angry and frustrated.

Until one day, he was about to explode in front of his father, who told him to his face that he wasn't brave enough to do anything.

And unfortunately, although he didn't want to accept it, his father was right, he was a bastard who was worse than all of them combined.

No matter what he said, he wouldn't have the courage to really fight, whenever he saw an image of A-Train he got very angry... and scared.

The primitive fear of knowing that he was no match, the fear of a superior being, a super.

Something revered and feared by ordinary humans.

And this fear ended up leading to a panic attack.

With his hormones gone, he returned to his job looking to bury his mind in work.

But it wouldn't end like that, and the arrival of Billy Butcher reignited that flame of revenge.

And everything he saw only made him hate him more, how could A-Train not care that much, even though he could accept that he didn't care about an ordinary person.

But getting to the level where he started making jokes and laughing at all this shit he did.

Sitting at a table with Butcher, he asked "Are they all like this? Even Homelander?"

"Homelander is an exception, he doesn't drink, he doesn't smoke." Butcher spoke, showing a bit of disgust, which Hughie didn't notice.

"What about Magnecty? You said Homelander is an exception."

"Magnecty? You got it right, he's the other exception, it's actually kind of insulting to put him in the same place as these turds." If anyone who knew Butcher heard him talking like that about a Super, they would definitely doubt whether it was him.

"Magnecty is a real hero, he cares more about saving lives than making films and selling them, someone who became a hero to be a hero."

"But he didn't join Vought?" Hughie didn't doubt Butcher but he wanted to understand everything.

Seeming to have found someone to talk to and vent, Butcher said:

"I was also surprised, but I saw the contract and all he sold was the right to his image, which can only be used after he reviews it."

"How does he have so much authority?" This was an impressive thing to hear, it is common knowledge that once someone sells their image, they no longer have any rights to how it is used.

At most, you can only fight in court as soon as you see that it was used in a bad way.

After all, they don't pay much to get these things.

Even more so at Vought, there are stories that most of the heroes' origins are false, some have been enhanced to make them unreachable for ordinary humans.

And Vought can do this, because they bought all the rights to the image, and naturally they can't do anything.

"He is the largest shareholder and that is how he has so much authority." Butcher replied, he didn't seem disgusted at all when talking about a Super.

Which is certainly something that would surprise his former partners.

What happened was that he didn't really hate Magnecty, nor did he plan to kill him along with the other supers, and this had nothing to do with banal matters like sentimentality.

All of this was because he actually saved people, he was someone who would be missed in the world, unlike the other superpowered shits.

"I understand." Hughie accepted this information without much surprise.

It is common knowledge that super famous people have a lot of money.

As if he hadn't realized this, Butcher said, "It's quite an incredible thing that he made most of his wealth without being famous."

"What!?" This time Hughie was completely surprised, and at the same time his admiration for Magnecty increased.

After seeing all this, he saw that all supers become superheroes to make money, because to do all these dirty things they need money, even to erase it, and pretend it never happened.

Of course, some want admiration from the masses, but the biggest reason is to have enough money to afford this life.

Basically, if someone had a lot of money, it would be difficult for them to become a hero, and even if they did, they wouldn't follow the same path as Superhero Magnecty.

Who became famous by saving people and not with films.

"He's really amazing."

"The most incredible and surprising thing is the number of people he has killed." Butcher spoke, not caring about being misunderstood.

And that's what happened, Hughie understood that the number of deaths is very high.

And seeing Butcher talking with a smile, well, he didn't understand his expressions, but it made him want to have nothing to do with this crazy man named Billy Butcher.

"What is the number exactly?" But curiosity made him stay and continue talking to him.

"The number of civilians killed by Magnecty is." He paused, Hughie took a deep breath to hear that number.

"0." "Hmm?" "Can repeat." Hughie thought he had heard wrong.

"The number of civilians killed by him is zero." Butcher repeated, and being sure he hadn't heard wrong made Hughie sigh.

This world he lives in is so fucked up, and he understood when talking to butcher that what he saw is just the tip of the iceberg, before he had the answer he was sure he wouldn't be as surprised as he is now if the number was ten thousand or even half a million.

Which is a considerably normal number given so much power, but zero was a shock.

This means that he never lost control and killed someone by accident, and he never even killed someone just to test, or as a way to suppress his anger.

Zero would be an acceptable number for a new hero, but he has already been in the world acting like a hero for several years.

"So does that mean he never killed anyone?" Although it would be cool to have a hero who never killed any civilians, but he can't help but feel less safe with a hero like that.

After all, people are bad, and although Hughie was a fearful, peace-loving person, he wouldn't want a hero like that.

And of course this type of hero doesn't please Butcher either, he would never feel admiration for a super like that.

"I said civilians, of course he kills, but he has a bit of a rule, basically he only kills those who deserve it, and to this day he has never made a mistake." Even without realizing it, Hughie was much more relieved.

Butcher's explanation was brief, because that was the only criterion they discovered.

His real reason is quite simple: karma.

Basically it follows the rule: if you did something to someone, there's no problem if someone else does the same thing to you.

After all, if you kill someone with negative karma, your karma will not become negative and has the possibility of increasing positive karma.

It's like a famous question: would you kill baby Hitler? Many don't decide because of the judgment.

But for him it's simple, if in this case you were someone from that time and killed him while he was a baby, you would be wrong, after all he was just a baby, you killed him just out of spite and not to rid the world of a crazy dictator.

But if you go back in time having seen all the evil he did, all life was purged simply because he exists, and he decided to end the seed before it blossomed.

For him you wouldn't be wrong, and unlike the first example you did it to improve the world and at the same time saved several lives.

This is what he believes, although he called it karma, only because he found out about it and thought it suited his actions, so he adopted that name.

After all, in real Karma, they believe that only good things are told, but anyway they will only know who is right and who is wrong when they are dead.

For now he was the judge who punished these bad people who roamed the world.

And that way of him that left Butcher in awe, he didn't care if he was right or wrong as long as he continued doing what he believed in.

Of course, this already caused "problems", one day a man broke into a daycare with a gun, and Magnecty appeared there.

He captured the man before he did anything to the children, but did not hand him over to the police, but threw him into an "iron lady".

His screams echoed everywhere as his body was pierced and liquid metals entered his body.

After doing this, he sent him as far inside planet Earth as possible, causing him to be increasingly burned alive until he became nothing.

He was extremely hated for it, everyone was talking about it, but before it could spread and create big problems, a video was released, showing that this man was a pedophile and everyone was silent.

Many retractions were made, and everything turned to make him more incredible and more adored, and the man who was called a poor man before, was insulted by everyone in the world even more so for what he was doing when he was caught.

They couldn't even imagine what would have happened if Magnecty hadn't been there.

_________________________________________________________________________

Finally Butcher got down to the real business.

While he was making crazy plans with Hughie, in the Vought tower, the two strongest people in the eight were having a meeting.

"We meet again Homelander, or do you prefer Captain?" Magnecty said normally, neither humble nor arrogant.

"You can keep calling me Homelander, it's a surprise I never thought you would join a team of superheroes." Homelander said, smiling at Magnecty, who, while he considered him an equal, he didn't like him very much.

He considered him an equal because he brought him the feeling of danger but although it was like that, he never felt any desire to attack or hate coming from him.

But he didn't like him because he wasn't "perfect" or rather he pretended to be perfect, he was a certain way and that didn't change, he didn't like him not because he thought he was stupid for being like that but because he envied him that.

He could say or "do whatever he wanted", and he wasn't hated by the public, and even if he was it didn't matter, after all he didn't become famous because of these masses but because of his actions.

Unlike him, who naturally wouldn't admit that he would be nothing without them, but he would rather they all die than stop loving him.

A good analogy according to Homelander, Magnecty and Homelander are business owners, while Magnecty's company didn't care about fighting pollution, Homelander's has always put on the facade of a clean and green air company, usually starting air pollution campaigns. collect trash, plant trees, and fight pollution.

But Magnecty's didn't even care about that, just focused on working, and the two were on the same level, while Magnecty's was just because of her excellent method and work, Homelander's grew with the support of people.

Out of nowhere, it is discovered that both companies pollute the world, while they were little shocked or even wouldn't even care about Magnecty's company, after all he never said anything about this, in the end they wouldn't have many problems.

Homelander's would plummet and his reputation would end, causing him to be destroyed, a company that was perfect was actually just pretending to be that way, and underneath it all was a lie.

That's how things were, no matter what Magnecty did, he wouldn't need to apologize, after all he always acted as he wanted in front of everyone, unlike Homelander who was a perfect prince and if he became an ogre he would have big problems and possibly I would lose everything.

And that goes for all the heroes in the world apart from Magnecty, naturally, public opinion will never reach him because he doesn't care about her.

And Homelander perfectly saw a God there, after all only Gods are not affected by something that ordinary human beings do or don't do.

That's why envy hit him, but he never had any other reason to hate magnety.

Magnecty was different from everyone else, after all he was taught and loved deeply by his parents, so he was loved by everyone even though he acted normally.

Because he wasn't someone bad, unlike any super who, if exposed, would be seen as a monster.

So something Homelander didn't understand was that he wouldn't apologize because he wasn't wrong, but if it was truly his mistake, he would have no problem apologizing.

But Homelander considered Magnecty an equal, even as a person.

"Well, when I found out that I would work with you, I naturally accepted, after all, you are America's greatest hero." Magnecty said without any emotional fluctuations.

"What an honor." Homelander responded with the same smile, this was another reason why he didn't know what to feel about Magnecty, he didn't know if he was making fun of him or not, nothing changed about him, not his expression, heartbeat, pressure, absolutely nothing.

He simply couldn't deduce what was going through his head.

So he just decided to let his guard down and accepted that in the end he was his vice captain, and someone who had the same authority as him on the team, and what's worse was as powerful as him.

If it had been anyone else there, not even if it had been someone as powerful as Magnecty, he would hardly have accepted it.

But whoever sent Magnecty had a good word, and in the end convinced Homelander with tips that in the end these things didn't matter after all, Homelander was superior.

But it also brought some benefits, in the end, in a way, all decisions would be made together, after all, two heads are better than one.

Basically your status has increased from vice-captain to advisor, if you do everything right you can even "command" Homelander.

Of course there was something that if Homelander discovered it would certainly make him hate Magnecty deeply with all his childishness.

Homelander never had a childhood, the only time he could be a normal child was when he was a baby and his powers were still manifesting.

After that, countless experiments were carried out before he was able to use his power to resist.

And all this experience is suppressed beneath this arrogance, after all he is "America's" greatest hero and he cannot let these things shake him.

His days without childhood, without being able to be a real child, made him a troubled adult, all these experiences messed with his mentality.

And that's why things that he should have learned as a child weren't taught to him, everyone was afraid and didn't care enough about him, now he needs to learn these things on his own.

Knowing that Magnecty hadn't been through those things would fill him with fury, knowing that he could see an operating room without remembering several doctors around him cutting you open.

Not having felt all that pain because the tranquilizers were no longer effective.

Of course he knew that not all Supers went through this, but he wouldn't accept Magnecty as someone who is as powerful as him.

He didn't need to go through that, after all that was necessary for him to be stronger, right? Be more perfect.

That was to see if there was any problem with him, right? It wasn't just for those sick doctors and scientists to satisfy his curiosity, right…
