" Now don't be sad, if mom sees you like this, she will smack me" said Li Jie which earned a teeny tiny chuckle from her.

"You can go downstairs and have breakfast, i will go freshen up"- said Li Jie who went into the bathroom to freshen up.

20 minuter later, when he came out of the bathroom, he saw Zhang Xiaoxi playing with her phone sitting on the bed.

" You didn't go downstairs??"

" I was waiting for you" mumbled zhang Xiaoxi.

Li Jie heard her and something in his heart felt warm and made his lips curl upwards.

" Lets go " said Li Jie.

Downstairs,,

Sitting beside Father Li, Mother Li was busy tapping on her phone.

"Darling, eat something first and then you can do whatever you are doing on the phone." Coaxed Father Li.

when Mother Li heard her husband, she nodded her head but didnt take off her hands from typing on the phone.

Looking at Mother Li, Father Li sighed and picked up the chopsticks and started feeding her.

Meanwhile, Mother Li who was busy chatting with Mother Zhang after sending the photos of the couple which she took sneakily, couldn't stop beaming.

Mother Li : " did you see that they are so cute together. I cant wait to hold my grandchildren"

Mother Zhang: " Thank god Xuilian, our children are finally on the right track leaving behind their past. I am so happy. I cant wait to hold my grand kids too"

Mother Li: " oh, i am planning to send them to honeymoon soon, but before that we have to make them agree to hold a wedding banquet so that bitchy ex girlfriend of my son receives her face slap"

Mother Zhang: " oh correct, i cant wait to see that bastards expression too. And Xuilian im scared what happens when xiaoxi knows the truth". I dont want her to go through pain again.

Mother Li: " dont worry, we all will take care of her together. And my son wont allow anyone to bully his wife . I am sure of it. After-all the blood of Li's doesnt allow anyone to cause pain to their family and friends.

"Brother , Sister in law, Good morning !!" - said Li Yan looking at the couple coming towards the dining table.

Zhang Xiaoxi smiled in response to his greetings, while Li Jie gave him a side eye and ignored him.

"Sisters-in-law come and sit beside me, I will tell you your husband's embarrassing moments"- said Li Yan winking at her.

" Xiaoxi, ignore him and come sit beside mother, i asked your mom and helped aunt Gu prepare your favourites. Eat well." - said Mother Li who then looked at her son and said.

"Jie, eat your breakfast first, we all have to talk about something very important afterwards."

" I have an important meeting mom, can we talk after i come home please?"-asked Li Jie.

" Who on the earth goes to office right after a day of their marriage. Stay home and keep Xiaoxi company. She has to adjust to the environment here.

Your father and brother will take care of the meeting."

"But mom"

" Are you trying to make me die of anger huhh?

Stay home thats it."-snapped Mother Li

Before Li jie could say anything,

" Mom, I am good. You are here to keep me company, let Li Jie go to office. " - said Zhang Xiaoxi defending her husband.

" are you already taking your husbands side sister in law ?"- teased Li Yan.
