Alpha Frederick continued staring at Rex Silvarum. He wondered why the rarely seen immortal was leaving. Rex Silvarum had lived in their pack as long as his oldest ancestors could remember.

There was a time during his father's reign that there were rumors that Rex had a family but it went as fast as it came. It looks like it was all a rumor if he was going back. 

"Can I carry him?" Rex asked, his gaze focused on the child which was on Alpha Fredrick's arm.

Alpha Frederick was taken aback by his request. When did he became so close to mortals. Everyone knows of Rex Silvarum's disgust for werewolves and humans whom he called halflings.

He raised his head to see the longing look on Rex's face. Alpha Frederick quickly stretches the baby towards him. Maybe he wants to bless the child? Was this child special?
