Finally, I got my long-awaited spa day. I had been waiting for this for ages, and Boris wouldn't let me go. You would think that a little bit of self-love every now and then was a crime.

According to Boris, everything outside of the pack is to be shunned. He is such a purist. Humans are worthless in his eyes and don't even get him started on human-turned-werewolves. Consequently, getting to town, or anywhere beyond the pack borders, had been rather difficult.

Boris doesn't let me out often without a guard, but since he wasn't here, he couldn't do anything about it. He and my elder sister, Alexis, were off visiting King Hans of the Grey Moon Kingdom. Boris doesn't like the King much because he mated with a human, and Queen Dana is a human-turned-werewolf. Still, King Hans is so powerful that Boris has to toe the line or lose his pack.
