Before he could finish his words, Jules cupped his chiseled cheek with a trembling hand, his eyes pleading. "Please…? Gideon, please… please take me there…"

Gideon bit his lower lip, swallowing the bitterness and fear that knotted in his chest. He finally nodded, his resolve hardening. 

Carrying him through the ruins of the garden, now a bloodbath that stained its former beauty, Gideon moved towards the beach that lay in front of their mansion.
