Ryley remained rooted in place as Clyde reluctantly released their embrace and made his way toward the exit with a determined air.
The world outside beckoned, and Lucas was ready, bowing his head respectfully and holding the door of an approaching car for Clyde.
The vehicle whisked him away, leaving Ryley alone with his whirlwind of emotions.
Moments later, Lucas entered the flower shop, where Ryley stood, his eyes flashing with a mix of anger and disappointment.
The words tumbled out of Ryley's mouth, charged with frustration and confusion.
"If you're not going to tell me the truth," he hissed, "then go and don't waste your time. Where is he going?"
"Australia, Sir," Lucas replied with unwavering composure, offering only a sliver of the information. "To fulfill his duty to the company and establish a new branch office."
