"I'm on patrol, Grandpa!" I replied tersely.

"Well, leave whatever you're doing and come right away. I'm waiting for you in your office.

"Can't it wait? I was just about to brief the soldiers?" I said.

"Drop everything, Ramsey, and come now!" he growled, his annoyance seeping into the link before ending it.
