Chasm was so busy watching the nimble way Rhylent’s tentacle’s flowed over the ship’s console that he didn’t notice the door to the room had opened behind him.

A young blonde human woman walked in with her mouth open and her jaw hanging toward the floor in shocked dismay. Behind her followed an older Dagerstanteen. His blue skin was lighter than the others, and his hair a rich dark green that matched his eyes. The Dagerstanteen was older, maybe, but this alien was still just as strong and armed as the other two. No matter a Dagerstanteen’s age, they were never to be underestimated.

“Did you whip a human, Royal Rhylent?” The older Dagerstanteen shook his head at Chasm and Norwell. “I do not wish to challenge you, Royal, but I am uncomfortable with this.”

Rhylent glanced behind him as if he’d forgot they were there. As a slave, Chasm preferred when his owners forgot he existed.
