章節 19: Chapter 19: Making an identity
"Shido, wake up!" A childish female voice sounded as Shido felt his body shaking.
"Unnn...what...is it?" Shido slurred his words as he slowly opened his eyes. In front of him, he could see a girl with a horn on her right temple shaking his body in an attempt to wake him up. He could also feel Yoshinon's soft material near his shoulders, rubbing their cheeks together.
"All Mig- I mean Uncle Toshinori told me that he'll be making an identity for us today!" Eri said excitedly. Her voice had also woken up Yoshinon from his slumber, causing him to rub his eyes in exhaustion as he lightly glared at her for waking them up. Eri noticed this but ignored it.
Shido didn't know why she was so excited at the mere thought of getting an identity. He had survived almost a year without an identity and no one could do anything to him, so what was the point of getting an identity now?
At first, he had honestly asked for an identity for fun, but now, it proved to be of good use as Eri needed it more than he did since she did not have any way of disguising herself. She wanted to start a fresh, new life, away from past experiences, and a new identity would be crucial for her, assuming that she didn't have one before of course. Shido didn't know if she had an identity before being experimented on, and even if she did, she wanted to have a new start which wouldn't relate anything back to her past.
"Alright...let me rest for five, no ten more minutes more..." Shido almost fell back asleep if not for Eri shaking his body again, this time with a bit more force. "No! Wake up now!"
Sighing, he got out of bed without any other choice and went to freshen up before reaching the table, where breakfast was laid out neatly. Toshinori was already there, reading his newspaper.
"Are you not busy with your hero duties? I was sure you would have been out 24/7 with your previous condition back, rushing everywhere to defeat all those villains out there." Shido asked as he took a bite out his sandwich. Eri and Yoshinon just remained silent as they both ate their apples. Shido didn't know what happened, but Eri and Yoshinon seemed to have become closer over the breakfast table. [A/N: Both of them likes to eat apples]
"Hmmm? Oh, I need to have a talk with some people today after making your identities, and after that I would go do my hero duties. After making your identities, the three of you can just do whatever you want, it doesn't seem that I'll have control over you troublemakers either way." He informed them while taking a sip out of his coffee.
The trio heard his remark but exercised their right to remain silent.

After a hearty breakfast, they went out towards the Pro Hero Association to make new identities, as part of Toshinori's responsibility. He would act as their guardian on papers, but in reality, he couldn't control the children, especially the indigo-coloured hair boy together with his rabbit puppet.
They didn't attract much attention since Toshinori was in his 'skinny' form while Shido was transformed into an ordinary bluish, off-white haired boy, similar to Eri making them look like siblings. Eri's horn wasn't very special as there were many other quirks out there which made appearance much weirder than her's.
Upon reaching the entrance, they were immediately invited to a private room where their new identities were made. The boss of the association was notified beforehand that Toshinori would be coming, and was one of the few who knew about his condition and injuries.
"It's good to see that you're well, Toshinori. It seems that you aren't pushing yourself harder than advised, judging from your lack of coughing and spurting blood all the time." A man with a tuft of white hair on his head chuckled at the last part. Despite looking in his 60s, his body was similar to Toshinori in his muscular form, and he looked comedic with the contrast of a bodybuilder and a tiny face.
The children were trying to stifle their laughter to no avail, but it seems that the man either did not care, or did not hear them.
"Yes, it's good to see you as well, Hisoka. About my condition, I was about to talk about that later on, but for now, I just need a little favour."
"Favour? What does the symbol of peace need from me?" Hisoka smirked slightly.
"Well...three children have just inhabited my home, but to be more precise, two children and a puppet. They don't have any identities from the past, from my preliminary check, so I would like to trouble you to make some identities from them."
As soon as he heard that, he looked at the three children closely. "Siblings? And I don't think the puppet needs an identity since he would be classified under his quirk."
Shido didn't say anything but summon his broom and transformed back into his original appearance. Hisoka saw that and couldn't help but raise his brows. 'Transformation quirk? But what about the broom and puppet? What exactly is his quirk?'
"Alright, take a photo of us, and make an identity card for us now. For my quirk, put it as 'Weapon Summoning' and 'Rewind' under Eri, all right?" Shido said impatiently. He wanted to get out of here quickly and tour the place with Eri.
Hisoka didn't say anything but looked at Toshinori, who just nodded his head without saying anything.
"All right then."
In less than an hour, all procedures were completed smoothly without setbacks, and the children decided to go out and play. Toshinori wasn't too worried about them since he knew Shido would protect them. 'Rewind' also sounded similar to a time quirk, which was also powerful as well. Thus, Toshinori didn't worry too much.
Making sure that the children were out of earshot, he stated before leaving,"Gather a meeting with everyone who knows about my injury. I want to announce something."
"Yes!" He did not dare to slack off since he heard the severity of Toshinori's, no, in this case it would be All Might's tone.

A/N Btw, we don't know much about the Pro Hero Association so I'm just going to make up my own stuff if you guys are wondering who Hisoka was.
