Finally as the carriage came to a somewhat bumpy stop, Drystan glanced at Eleni Yaxley beside him.

The inn at which the carriage had stopped was fairly well maintained, made of sturdy wood and bamboo with at least two floors.

Drystan pushed aside the gauze curtains blocking the window and peeked out, staring at the inn. The street was fairly quiet as the dusk approached.

Not the ideal time for an outing, perhaps. But so was the wish of Lady Yaxley.

Seemingly in thoughts, the Marquess nodded to himself before turning his head to look at the his companion. Slightly tilting his head to the side, he opened.

“This isn't the really an ideal place for a meeting, casual or otherwise,” he said, eyeing the silent girl. “Would you prefer to meet with my friend at a more secluded, private place?“

Eleni, who had been in her own world for a while, snapped back to herself, not knowing what her surroundings was like.
