Abel POV
“We’re coming with you,” Paris insisted, trailing after me.
“It’s too dangerous. You need to stay with the pack,” I replied, walking faster.
“We’re not going anywhere,” Markos called out, his heavy footsteps pounding behind me.
“Look, I need you guys to stay here incase the vampires attack again,” I said, swirling around to face them.
“They won’t. The whole point of the war was to get Wuro back. Now he has her,” Markos said.
I snarled at the reminder that my mate was in the hands of Resmer. The thought of her in danger was driving me crazy.
“Hey,” Paris said, laying a hand on my arm.
“She’ll be fine. We will get her back,” she reassured.
“There is no we,” I said exasperatedly.
“You’re not the only one that cares about Wuro, you know,” Phebe said, furrowing her eyebrows at me in frustration.
“Wait up!”
We all turned, noticing Dana sprinting up to us.
