“Don’t mind her,” Phebe assured Dana who looked taken aback.
“Where’s Noah?” I asked as I licked the remaining blood off my fingers. I was surprised to see Sarai without him.
“They got in a fight.”
“Really? Over what?” I pressed, my interest piqued.
“You.”
“What?! No way?” I said, coughing up the food that was in my mouth in shock.
“Sarai took Paris’s side and she wants you gone. Believe it or not, Noah disagreed with her and said it was better if you stayed,” Phebe explained.
“Why? He hates me,” I said, disbelieving.
“Something about it being better if you were on our side than the vampires,” she said briefly.
“Noah is?” Dana asked, her expression revealing how lost she was.
“One of the Alphas,” Phebe explained.
“Where’s Paris now?” I asked.
“In her room. Why?” Phebe, her eyebrow raised.
“I think we should talk,” I said, shrugging.
“No,” Dana and Phebe said in unison, causing me to take my attention off the food for a second.
