"What the fuck is happening?" Richard demanded as soon as he entered the command center. The staff immediately rose to their feet, halted what they were doing, and saluted him. 

"At ease," Richard waved his hand dismissively, prompting the staffers to return to their stations. The screens around the room flickered with real-time data and satellite images, showcasing the escalating situation.

Richard moved swiftly to the main console, his gaze fixed on the display showing the monstrous creature wreaking havoc in Shanghai. "Report," he snapped, his voice tense with urgency.

Mark stepped forward, tablet in hand. "Sir, approximately fifteen minutes ago, a monster surfaced in downtown Shanghai. It's massive—larger than anything we've encountered before. Our ground forces are engaged, but their current armaments are ineffective."

Richard's jaw tightened. "Casualties?"
