13.33% Succubus System At Hogwarts / Chapter 2: (2) You Are A Wizard, Ian!

章節 2: (2) You Are A Wizard, Ian!

Listening to the chatter of the portraits, Dumbledore fell into deep thought.

His deep blue eyes glinted behind his half-moon glasses as if he were contemplating something significant.

"Albus?" Professor McGonagall called out when he didn't respond for a while, unable to resist asking, "What's on your mind?"

"Oh, nothing," Dumbledore replied, snapping back to the present with a slight smile. "I was just thinking that tomorrow, we should personally deliver Ian's acceptance letter. I'm sure he'll be delighted to learn he's a wizard."

McGonagall smiled as well. "You're absolutely right, Albus; we should make the trip ourselves."

Glancing at the list on the desk, she read aloud, "Ian Potter, residing in Manchester, Stone District, 444 Lily Street."

"Manchester…" Dumbledore picked up his wand and gave a light wave, and a golden light began to twinkle over Manchester's location on the map of Britain hanging on the wall. "Then, tomorrow we'll pay a visit to Manchester."

The next morning, as sunlight streamed through the window, Ian awoke from his sleep, stretching with a lazy yawn.

He glanced out the window; it was a rare beautiful day, bright and sunny, with not a cloud in sight.

Ian climbed out of bed, got washed up, and, still in his pajamas, opened the door, planning to head to the kitchen for a glass of milk. Just then, he saw Hermione rushing up the stairs, breathless.

"Ian, get up! We have visitors! Our acceptance letters are here! Mom and Dad asked me to come get you," Hermione said, panting. She paused when she noticed that Ian was already dressed, a bit surprised. "You're already up?"

"Yeah, I was just about to get some milk," Ian replied with a soft smile, reaching out to help her catch her breath. "No rush; let's go down together."

With that, he took Hermione's hand, and they headed downstairs.

As they reached the top of the stairs, Ian heard a warm, elderly voice coming from below.

"Mr. and Mrs. Granger, thank you very much for your hospitality. We're here today not only to deliver acceptance letters to the young witches and wizards but also because we hoped to meet Mr. Ian Potter."

Hearing this, Ian paused slightly, his eyebrows raised.

If he wasn't mistaken, that voice belonged to the Headmaster of Hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore.

The old bee actually came in person?

Was he planning to test him like he once tested Voldemort?

Ian felt a bit surprised, but he kept his expression calm as he held Hermione's hand and descended the stairs. In the living room, he saw two elderly figures sitting on the couch, engaged in conversation with Mr. and Mrs. Granger.

One of them wore a deep purple robe, with wise blue eyes glimmering behind half-moon glasses—none other than Albus Dumbledore.

The other, dressed in an emerald-green robe, had a serious and dignified expression. Ian knew this lady should be Professor Minerva McGonagall, Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts.

Seeing these two legendary wizards sitting on his couch, even Ian couldn't help feeling a bit nervous.

Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall noticed the two young wizards coming down the stairs, and both of their gazes landed on Ian, looking him up and down.

Red hair, green eyes—he looked very much like his mother, Lily. Yet, in his brows and eyes, there was a hint of resemblance to his father, James Potter.

As Dumbledore looked at Ian, a flicker of complex emotions passed through his eyes.

Mr. and Mrs. Granger noticed Ian and Hermione as well.

Mr. Granger quickly called out, "Ian, Hermione, you're here! Come over. These are Professor Dumbledore, the Headmaster of Hogwarts, and Professor McGonagall, the Deputy Headmistress. They're here to deliver your acceptance letters."

'The Grangers behaving like this.. did they cast a spell on them?'

Ian led Hermione into the living room, gave a slight bow to the two wizards on the couch, and greeted them, "Good day, Professor Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall."

Hermione followed his example and greeted them as well.

"Apologies, Professor Dumbledore," Ian said, feigning confusion, "but neither Hermione nor I have ever submitted an application to your school. Could there be some mistake?"

"Haha~ No, there is no mistake," Dumbledore replied with a gentle smile, shaking his head. "Applications to Hogwarts are not required from young wizards themselves. As long as a young wizard is eleven years old and possesses magical ability, they are automatically included on Hogwarts' admissions list."

He paused, his gaze deepening as he looked at Ian.

"Wizards?" Ian and Hermione both exclaimed, putting on just the right expressions of surprise.

Dumbledore raised his wand and gave a light wave toward the coffee table in front of them.

Immediately, two parchment letters appeared on the table—their Hogwarts acceptance letters.

"Magic!" Hermione gasped, her eyes shining as she stared at Dumbledore's wand, her face filled with curiosity.

Ian also put on a look of curiosity and longing, though in reality, he felt entirely unfazed.

"Aren't you going to open them?" Dumbledore asked with a smile, noticing the two of them standing there in awe.

"Oh, of course!" Ian snapped out of his thoughts, quickly picking up the acceptance letter from the table and reading through it.

Hermione followed suit, eagerly grabbing her own letter and carefully reading each line.

The familiar crest of the lion, serpent, eagle, and badger made it all feel a bit more real to Ian.

He couldn't help but wonder if his "Savior" brother had also received this letter by now.

Thinking of that green-eyed young wizard from the movies, a flicker of complex emotion crossed Ian's eyes.

After all, Harry Potter was technically his only family in this world.

Though he had never met Harry Potter, Ian was all too familiar with the path his life would take.

Losing his parents at a young age, growing up under someone else's roof, and then finally, at eleven, receiving a letter from Hogwarts and stepping into the magical world.

But even in the magical world, Harry's fate was far from an easy one.

In his first year, he was already entangled with Voldemort, and his entire school life was marked by encounters with Voldemort's Horcruxes, narrowly escaping death time and time again.

Thinking about it, his Savior brother really did have a destiny filled with hardship.

Ian sighed inwardly, though on the surface, he maintained a calm, yet quietly expectant expression.

At that moment, Hermione had also finished reading her acceptance letter. Her face lit up with excitement as she looked up at Ian. "Ian, can we really go to Hogwarts to learn magic?"

"I think so," Ian replied, smiling as he ruffled her hair. "Look, we've got the acceptance letters right here in our hands."

Hermione, overjoyed, hugged Ian's arm tightly. "This is amazing! Ian, we get to learn magic!"

Seeing Hermione's excitement, Ian couldn't help but feel a bit of that excitement himself, and the tension he'd felt earlier began to fade.

Ian then turned to Dumbledore, his expression showing a touch of curiosity and hesitation. "Professor Dumbledore, I heard you mention that you wanted to meet me? And… why did you address me as Mr. Potter?"

At Ian's question, a glint of admiration appeared in Dumbledore's eyes.

This young wizard before him was even smarter and more composed than he had anticipated.
