章節 1: chapter 1 (rewrite)
There I was walking home after a long day of work, I was exhausted but also excited at the same time.
I have a good reason to be excited though.
I can finally go home and watch the latest episode of jujutsu kaisen... what! you thought it would be something else? well, you were wrong. I'm proud to say, I'm a hardcore weeb!
Anyways, leaving aside my weebenes.
I already read the manga so I know what will happen... but still, I want to watch the anime adaptation. Who knows, maybe they will make some major changes. Plus, it looks awesome so why not!
Thou, in my professional opinion, it doesn't need any changes, it's good as it is. Hopefully, they don't screw up like Seven Deadly Sins.
Gosh! the anime adaptation on that was horrendous! the first session was okay, but the rest? trash!
Like come on, who decided to get rid of all the blood?! not to mention the fight scenes! they might as well just use a PowerPoint presentation! whoever's idea that was should get fired! ruining such a good anime!
Whilst I was thinking about anime. I was walking to the bus stop and on the way, I decided to stop at a convenience store to pick up some snacks.
'maybe I should buy potato chips and cola~? Yeh, I should~.'
I took my items up to the cashier, paid up and left the store. I then went straight to the bus stop without any problem.
….
Yeh right! no problem my ass! why is a truck chasing me?!
'I have no beef with you truck-kun!'
As soon as I left the store, I got followed by a truck. Recently there were many truck accidents, so like any normal person would, I decided to leg it... thou as you can see, it's not exactly working! every time I turn a corner he's right there behind me! bastard!
I ran to an alleyway, I could see through the corner of my eyes that the truck was behind me. this situation looks dire, and to top things up! a truck out of nowhere materialized in front of me.
Just great! fantastic! now not only I'm I getting chased by a psychopath but also truck-kun! and at the speed it appeared, I have no chance to dodge.
Wait! isn't this good? I can probably get to reincarnate…. fuck it! you only live twice!
I stopped running. The truck in front of me, slammed straight into me, killing me on the spot.
I could see my lifeless body before everything went completely black. Before I knew it, I was in a white open space.
As a weeb, I know what's happening. And honestly, I was a little excited. If what I was thinking about, is going to happen.
I still have doubts though.
I'm just your everyday regular guy, I wake up, go to work, come home and watch some anime, then repeat, in this order! so why is this happening to me?
A voice resounded throughout the space "It's randomly picked every few centuries... I guess you just got unlucky, though for the benefits you get I would beg to differ"
"Yeh right, what? will I be reincarn- wait! who said that?! show yourself?!"
As soon as I said that, morgan freeman appeared in front of me.
He was wearing all white cloaths with a halo hovering above his head, I wanted to ask 'Why do you even need a halo? how does it even float like that? and doesn't it get in your way when you sleep? seems impractical to me' but decided not to.
"It's part of my body so I can't get rid of it even if I wanted." he said with a sigh, adding "And it just floats like that all the time, I don't even need to use any energy, isn't it mysterious? lastly, I don't need to sleep as a god"
Well shit! seems like he can read my mind.
'please stop... your intruding on my personal space~'
God cheerfully said, "Hahaha don't worry, I can only see your surface thoughts... and since it seems like you know what's about to happen, there's no point in delaying things right?"
I nodded my head "Yeah... so what's the deal, 3 wishes and a world of my choosing?"
God said "No, sadly, we had to change things around. After an incident where a candidate decided to go on a god hunt. We gave him too much power and couldn't control him anymore..." he sighed, adding "But look at the bright side! you get to reincarnate! now then, let's get started!"
He snapped his finger and a roulette wheel appeared beside him. It had different worlds written on it, from movies to anime, there were even games!
God said "You'll spin the roulette and if your lucky, you can reincarnate in the world you want" he whispered "though I doubt that will happen"
I spun the wheel, I was honestly really nervous here. What if it stopped on boku no pico? I would rather die again than live in that world!
After a while the wheel started to slow down, it went past the movie category to the anime one. And after couple more seconds it stopped on, That time I got reincarnated as a slime.
God said "Lucky you! that world has many benefits, even if you get crappy abilities as your gift, you can still become strong. Speaking of abilities" He snapped his fingers and the words on the roulette changed to powers and bloodlines. He added "You only get 3 spins"
I spun the wheel, it stopped on demon bloodline. I looked at god questionly. He sighed and said "Basically, you will be like the demons from seven deadly sins"
I nodded and spun the wheel again, it stopped on, Merlin package. Now I was really confused.
"Merlin package? what does that mean?" I asked god. He said "You will get all of Merlin's abilities and techniques" he looked at me and could see that I'm still confused, he added "Merlin, from seven deadly sins. Seems like your really lucky..."
Aren't I too broken now? first the demon bloodline and now Merlin's abilities?! I wonder what I will get next!
I spun the wheel excitedly, and after a while, it stopped on world travel... Holy shit! I don't even need an explanation for this one! it's not exactly op, but still, I can travel the anime vers! haha!
"Well, good for you. Hopefully, we don't meet again." said god, adding "Kid, I'll be honest with you. I'm only reincarnating you to have some entertainment, but don't get any wrong ideas. I won't interfere with anything you do, you can be a villain, hero, hermit and I won't stop you. Live your life how you wish. Now, see yeh..."
He snapped his finger, my consciousness faded. And just like that, I was reincarnated.
