The glove perfectly integrated with his hand, rendering it invulnerable to bullets, water, and fire. Furthermore, it possessed the power to shrink non-living objects upon touch. Though Luffy didn't fully comprehend the concept of ancient weapons or Teigu, he was amazed by Alan's abilities and enthusiastic about having him as a partner.
