As time passed, the moon slowly rose higher in the sky, casting a pale light on the forest floor.
The stars twinkled overhead, illuminating the darkness of the Wildwood forest. It was now midnight, and the creatures of the night had emerged from their hiding places.
Suddenly, the sound of a bowstring being pulled taut echoed through the forest.
A moment later, an arrow whizzed through the air, its feathers rustling as it flew towards its target.
Stab!
The arrow struck true, piercing straight through the giant snake's scaly skin. The snake fell to the ground with a heavy thud, dead before it hit the forest floor.
A few moments later, a shilloute of a girl emerged from the darkness. Her long black hair cascaded down her back, and her body was proportioned perfectly. She had a cold and calm demeanor, as if nothing could faze her.
The girl calmly retrieved the arrow from the snake's body and wiped it clean on her cloak. She had an air of coldness about her, and her voice was monotone as she spoke to herself.
"It seems the monsters are getting scarce in this forest," she said, glancing around at her surroundings. "Perhaps it's time to move on."
As she walked through the forest, she stumbled upon a corpse of a Warg that had been slain not long ago. She examined it briefly, taking note of the wounds and the condition of the body.
"Hmm, another one taken down," she mused, her expression unreadable. "Whoever did this must be a amateur."
Despite her calm demeanor, the girl couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. The forest was quieter than usual, and she had encountered fewer monsters than she normally would have.
She walked deeper into the forest, her steps measured and precise.

Meanwhile...
[You killed a giant bear. Congratulations, you managed to steal its power and get +1 strength]
"Pant! Pant!"
Victor wasn't too impressed with the hologram that just appeared and disappeared in front of him.
He couldn't afford to be distracted by it either because he was currently dealing with a massive, slithering cobra.
As Victor ventured deeper into the forest, he found himself facing more and more ferocious monsters and beasts.
He had been fighting for several hours, and now, he was unlucky enough to encounter a giant cobra.
The cobra was incredibly strong and challenging to defeat. Its tough skin was difficult to pierce, and the deadly venom it released only made the battle more dangerous.
Victor was currently enduring excruciating pain in his body, particularly in his left arm, which had been affected by the snake's venom. He could barely move it.
Hisss!
The snake hissed and lunged at Victor with lightning speed. Victor managed to dodge the attack just in time, feeling the rush of air as the snake's fangs narrowly missed him.
But the relentless cobra showed no signs of stopping.
With a swift flick of its tail, it smashed a tree and hurled it toward Victor. The sound of splintering wood filled the air, and the earth trembled under the force.
Victor, still struggling to master his gravity power, focused all his remaining energy to halt the tree in mid-air, surrounded by a faint dark-purple energy.
However, the force was not strong enough to fully stop the tree, causing it to clip him as it passed by.
Bang!
Pain shot through his side as the tree grazed him.
"Gah! That hurt," Victor grunted, trying to keep his composure.
In that instant, Victor realized he was on the verge of losing the battle.
Just as the giant cobra prepared for its final strike, a barrage of arrows suddenly whizzed through the air, piercing the snake's head in rapid succession.
Stab!
Stab!
Stab!
Each arrow found its mark, embedding deep into the cobra's scales with a sickening thud.
It took ten arrows in total to finally bring down the giant snake. Its body convulsed violently for a moment before it slumped to the forest floor, lifeless.
Victor, panting heavily, looked around, trying to find the source of the arrows that had saved him in the nick of time.
He knew he had a long way to go before mastering his gravity power, but for now, he was grateful for the unexpected help.
However, the venom in his body had spread, causing him immense pain and leaving him on the brink of death.
He struggled to maintain consciousness as his vision blurred, desperately hoping that whoever had saved him would come to his aid once more.
The sound of rustling leaves and snapping twigs alerted Victor to an approaching figure.
He squinted, trying to make out their features through the pain and haze clouding his vision.
"Oh, how surprised. I didn't expect it was you, Victor Redfield," a soft voice rang in his ears.
But his vision blurred, and he fainted before he could see who it was.
