[FLASHBACK— The night Aera and Areum were murdered]

"Hello, darling." Hyun Woo greeted as he made his way into the house. He had just clocked out of work and he was a little tired and hungry.

Seeing Areum who was now living as Aera which was unknown to him fidgeting in the sitting lounge, he went up to her and tried to kiss her lips.

"What the hell was that?" Areum grunted, pushing him away from her. "Did I not warn you about coming close to me?"

Hyun Woo let out a sigh exasperatedly, turning to look away as he couldn't handle the constant rejection from his wife anymore. He knew he needed to be on good terms with her if the plans he was making to acquire the K group were going to be a success.

After a while, he turned back at her, placing his hand on her shoulder which she swatted off immediately.
