章節 55: Orientation

Dan and Okoye walk to the front of the lounge; the lounge is divided into two sections with the male dormitory on the left and female dormitory on the right.

"You are a really fun person but I guess with everything that's happened with you it's kinda hard to keep a smile without one of those painful memories coming back to haunt you but I think it's time for you to let go of those past memories and start afresh on a new slate. I hope you give a thought to my words."

Okoye remarks with her usual glowing smile.

"Who would have imagined, a seventeen year old female having more wisdom than yours truly. Anyways I guess it's understandable, I'll do what you have said, Thanks."

Dan replies in a more relaxed tone.

"You make it sound like you're much older than me."

Okoye says with a chuckle.

"Well I'm a year older so that counts."

"Anyways, That's good, I hope you think over my words… so I guess this is good night."

Okoye extends her arm and Dan reciprocates with same after which they both go their separate ways into the lounge dorms…..

TIME : 8:00AM

LOCATION : ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDING, MARACAS ISLAND

Dan and Sai stand at the entrance of the building with other participants walking in as they await the arrival of their third member.

Dan is in a much cheerful mood than he normally is though he won't show it outwardly instead his stern look that he had on usually had turned into a much calmer look.

Sai noticed the mood change since last night but preferred not to ask him about it worried that Dan might take it personal and revert to his stern look.

Both men were dressed in combat attire with Sai spotting black plain trousers as well as black military boots with a white T-shirt and black jacket while Dan wore his usual wear which was brown trousers and shoes with a black shirt and red jacket hoodie ( he wore his trademark gauntlet which were slim fitted to look like metal gloves).

Both men stand silently as they wait patiently for Ilara, talking wasn't really much between the guys except when Ilara was present.

Sai never really knew what to talk about with Dan while Dan never bothered to even try to talk preferring to stay on his own and ruminate.

Sai had made some acquaintances with other participants due to him being bored with nothing to do.

"I'm feeling pretty good about today, what about you??"

Sai asked in a bid to break the ice.

"Today is the beginning of our test, after hearing the manner in which they have planned to test us then we'll plan accordingly to make sure we come out on top."

Dan responds in a calm manner before announcing.

"She is here."

Sai was shocked but had no time to be awed as Ilara walked up to them.

"Hey sorry I'm late, had trouble figuring what to wear….. I guess you guys didn't have much problems in that aspect."

Ilara said as she eyed both guys considerably.

"You look good."

Sai remarks as he took in the sight before him; brown combat boots with knee length shorts and a silvery colored blouse with a brown jacket.

"We should go in before they close the doors and send us back for being late."

Dan remarks breaking the sizing up contest going on between the couple.

"Yeah."

Ilara replies with all three walking in after ward.
