Emmy's plan was to use the combination of the same skills he had used against them in the Local Tournament, he had somehow infiltrate their defense back then, so he thought it might also be possible right now, although he knew scoring a goal against this keeper will be difficult because of his ability and skills, he's not as weak as the 36 Lions keeper back in the Local Tournament. So he had inform others that he will somehow find a way to go past the defenders, so his teammates are to help him score a goal and Russ ability is the best in that aspect.
After a successful infiltration of their defense lane, he threw his shot at the bottom left corner of the post, he knew for sure that the keeper will react in time and get the ball but the plan was for Russ to come at the last moment for a rebounce. What they didn't account for was the keepers versatility with his ability. The keeper had created a long iron tennis bat which had appeared just in front of the ball, swinging the ball upward, out of the field, now the referee had blew for a corner kick.
Emmy look defeated, he had taught his plan will work and he was so sure of it that he even told the coach not to change their keeper for penalty shootout. Nathaniel is not so good in penalty but the same is not for Bruce, with his ability, he could be the best keeper in the world, but his ability is just at the level 3 so it's not that useful but still, it will help them a little bit during the penalty shootout.
But Emmy had told them not to worry, thinking his plan will work. Now he look defeated, his teammates also had a defeat look on their face, it seems their journey ends here. They have done their best getting to the final stage of the tournament but it seems they can't get the trophy.
Emmy slowly walk up to the ball and set it on the line ready to play the corner kick, his teammates walk sluggishly to the opponent's box for the cross.
Looking at his arsenal of skills, he failed to spot a single skill that would help him in this situation, he had tried David Beckham Cross countless times, Absolute Ball Control, he had even used the uninterrupted shot once but didn't work, although just like the description of the skill, nobody was able to stop his shot when he used the skill but the ball wasn't played towards the goal post, so it flew out of the field.
But there's one skill he hadn't used, he's not sure if it would help but he still had hope.

He didn't know how this skill will help him but as soon as he activated the skill, information got loaded into his brain in an instant and he had activated two skills unknowingly. David Beckham Cross and Uninterrupted Shot have been activated, not only that but looking at the opponent post from where he was, at the corner, he could see that it was all covered with small green dots, but at the right top corner of the post, a tiny red dot could be seen blinking there.
Acting on instinct, he move forward and kicked the ball as soon as the referee blew his whistle, the ball moves in the same arc motion it usually moves whenever he used the David Beckham Cross, flying past everyone who had come forward with their head, it moves straight to the blinking red dot at the top right corner.
The ball moves faster than the keeper so he had immediately created a large iron palm just right in front of the ball, exactly where the dot was blinking. Emmy seeing this had fell on his knees, the three skills had took the last bit of his HP and he was starting to feel weak.
But just as the giant palm caught the ball outside of the goal, both the ball and the palm dropped down and bounce back into the net.
For a moment, there was silence.
The referee had his whistle in his mouth without blowing it.
Somewhere in the commentator's room, the two commentator had the small mic on their lips but not a single word escape their mouth.
The players stood still on the field and the audience had their mouth opened in place, until Emmy shouted goal with weak voice from the corner of the opponent side that everyone came back to their senses, the referee blew his whistle signalling for a goal, the commentators spoke into the mic but not without saying rubbish at the first few seconds.
(Uh...wait)
(..did I just see that right)
(No this must be a dream, I'm really seeing things)
(The referee just said it's a goal!!!)
(Damn, that kid really score a goal from the corner)
And then the pitch was filled with crowd, everyone rushed onto the field, Emmy's teammates rushed over to him, picked him up and started throwing him into the air.
Cheers and sobbing could be heard all over the field.
The match ended and so did the APST, Lindsay Academy have won the football event final and would be crowned the winner of the APST as they have won one of the two main events, took second in the other and also win one more event. It's truly a great feat for them.
(And then Lindsay Academy won the football final as they scored an unexpected and incredible goal at the last minute, not only did they made history but they also scored the best goal of the tournament. And kudos to Royal Maniac College, they have pushed themselves to the extreme and did their best to grab the trophy but they never expected to be an heavenly talent among their opponent. We look forward to what they can in the next tournament, the two teams are history maker)
After the cheers settle down a bit, the field was arranged for the victory ceremony and trophy was brought out for the victor.
All Lindsay Academy players stood at the middle as they held the trophy in their midst with golden medals all on their neck, Royal Maniac College players to their right with silver medal on their neck and lastly, Straitgate College stood to their left, all having a bronze medal on their neck.
The APST ends here and the closing ceremony will be taking place tomorrow.
