章節 25: Ambush

Having covered a considerable distance on foot, they eventually reached the entrance of the E-Rank dungeon. This small cave was connected to a mountain and enveloped by a forest.

The perimeter of the place was littered with broken wooden barricades and covered in cobwebs, creating a pitch-dark interior.

"Well, shit. Do we have any torches or something?" Marius inquired, stealing a quick glance at the goddess. He had hoped that she would have found something from the carriage that he had overlooked.

"Hero, I had brought a lantern." With a nod, Ayla unstrapped her backpack and set it down on the lush green ground. She searched through it, finally finding a small lantern.

Taking it out, she handed it over to Marius, who had a smile hidden behind his helmet. He was greatly relieved that she had brought a light source, as this quest would have been practically impossible otherwise.
