Joesh rose from his bed and followed Sela Blue; since they couldn't avoid it, they would do it.
Bishop Drew, seated in the living room, got up as they entered.
"Greetings, Miss Blue," Bishop Drew greeted Sela Blue with a smile, looked at Joesh, and nodded.
"Greetings Bishop, may I know what is the reason you want to meet him?" she asked him without wasting any time. She wanted to know what Pope wanted from Joesh.
"Nothing of great importance," Bishop Drew answered truthfully. "Our Pope sensed something was amiss and asked me to meet this young man to ensure all is well."
"Pope sensed something... hmm, well, okay," Sela nodded. "I trust the Pope's judgment. If you need to speak with him, go ahead," she said. Though she knew that Pope was a trustworthy person, she couldn't shake off a sense of unease.
Bishop Drew turned his attention to Joesh, who sat in front of him on the sofa. "May I have your name, young man?"
"Joesh," he murmured softly.
"Oh, a fine name indeed! I am Bishop Veazey Drew of the Church of Light. We worship the goddess Aries," Bishop Drew announced, forming a symbol with his hands.
Joesh looked at another unfamiliar symbol.
"This is called Aries Pray." Bishop Drew noticed Joesh's gaze and explained.
"Oh," Joesh nodded; this was the first time he heard about the Church of Light or the goddess Aries.
"My job here is done. Remember, young man, you are always welcome in the Church of Light; here, have this, "Bishop Drew said, presenting Joesh with a jade slip bearing the church's symbol.
Joesh took it and was puzzled by his actions— what was happening? Why did he even come here for?
"May the goddess Aries bless you," Bishop Drew said, placing his hands on Joesh's shoulders.
Not knowing how to respond, Joesh remained silent.
"Bishop Drew, inform the Pope to prepare for war and to keep those Devil God worshippers from interfering," Sela Blue said to him.
"We are already working on it. Our Holy Army and Saints will be in the front row," Bishop Drew confirmed with a nod.
"Saints... tsk," Sela Blue's expression soured as she heard Saint.
"Haha, then I shall take my leave. Goodbye, young man Joesh," Bishop Drew bid farewell before departing.
Joesh turned to Sela Blue, curious. "Why are you angry all of a sudden? Is that Saint a bad guy?" he asked her.
She took a deep breath and composed herself before speaking. "No, he isn't a bad person, but whether he's good or bad is irrelevant. He is the strongest person in the world, his name is Daniel. There isn't a single person in any world who can beat him."
"The strongest person… interesting." Joesh nodded.
Sela Blue suggested, "It's time for you to learn about this world. Come with me."
After walking for some time, she led Joesh to a classroom that resembled an old school classroom, with small tables that required kneeling to use.
"Take a seat," Sela Blue said, picking up a chalk piece. Joesh noticed a soft, pillow-like object under the table, which he used to make himself comfortable. It wasn't that hard. Or just his new body felt different.
"Since you need to start from the beginning, we will start with our world first," Sela Blue said, drawing a circle.
"From the void of emptiness emerged an entity that we now call Earth. This remarkable entity possesses consciousness and will, and is often referred to as Mother Earth. It is not like us humans; it is a superior being that sustains all life on its surface. However, even with all its power, there is one thing that Mother Earth cannot control— Nature.
Nature is the foundation of everything in the universe; it is omnipresent. It controls every aspect of life on this planet, and it has no beginning or end. Unlike Mother Earth, nature has no consciousness or will. It acts without any sense of morality or judgment, and this can have severe consequences for the entire world…" Sela Blue wrote down everything she said on the board, highlighting the importance of understanding the relationship between Mother Earth and nature.
Joesh nodded in agreement.
"Don't just listen, write!" she urged him to take notes and pointed at the pen and book in front of him.
"O-Okay" Joesh picked up his pen and notebook and began writing down everything she said.
"The next topic— Birth of Human and Monster." She waited until he wrote everything, erased it, and started a new topic.
"Do you know Adam and Eve?" she asked him.
"Yes."
"Good. Then it is easy for you to understand." She proceeded to explain "After billions of years, Earth has become a livable place. With the help of nature, Mother Earth made a human being who enjoys the world. The first human was Adam. He was pure, loyal, and obedient to both Mother Earth and nature. But he was alone; he was always lonely.
Since Mother Earth loved him, it created another human, Eve, so they both could enjoy life and live together happily.
Eve was also loyal, pure, and obedient to both nature and Mother Earth. But she was a curious woman, she had an interest in everything on earth. After making both of them, Adam and Eve's disobedience towards nature disturbed its balance. So two other things were born through Mother Earth. They were in the form of trees….Hey! Listen!" Sela Blue noticed Joesh was not listening and called him.
"Yes! I am listening!" Joesh said he felt like he was listening to some kind of religious message. 'This feels too unrealistic, but after seeing all the things... it's not that much."
"This is important!" she said, as this time Joesh concentrated fully.
"So after Mother Earth created the first humans, Adam and Eve, nature was disturbed, and two other things were born through Mother Earth. However, it was not solely their fault, it was their disobedience towards nature that led to the birth of these two things.
As they aged, Adam, who watched the animals he raised die in front of him, felt he would also die like that in no time, which developed a strong desire to live long.
Meanwhile, Eve's curiosity got the better of her. She reached her limit in understanding things and wanted more. She wanted to know more about this world and understand everything about it. And the desires for knowledge and immortality led to the birth of two trees —
the Tree of Knowledge and Intelligence and the Tree of Immortality."
