Viona hugged Lilly tightly. Her mind was full of questions about her life in the Crescent Nightstalker rogues pack would be, especially after Dominick kissed her. Viona touched her lips. She could still feel Dominick's hard lips on hers. Would she be another mistress like she was before with Jock?

Lilly bawled as she was too shocked to see Zealous stab Jock. "Daddy, Daddy …."

"Lilly, sweetie, he's not your daddy."

But the little pup screamed and sobbed. "Daddy!"

Viona patted Lilly's back and rocked her until Lilly was too tired to cry and sleep. "I'm so sorry. I should interfere when Jock acknowledged you as his daughter. He's not your father, my pup. Gerald Claude was your father."

Lilly moved in her sleep as if something startled her. Viona kissed Lilly's forehead and caressed her back. 

"Mommy with you, sweetie. You are safe."
