The Fiery Protector was the former while Grandmaster Hattori was the latter.

The Fiery Protector might not be a match for Grandmaster Hattori in a fight, especially a sword fight, however, the Japanese Grandmaster couldn't compare to Korede's elder when it came to making weapons, Will weapons or ordinary ones.

The focus of their training was especially on crafting Will weapons, not just Armaments but Artefacts as well.
