"In news just breaking this morning, SoT news sources have revealed that a yet-to-be-named high-ranking officer in the Army, stationed in Taraba State, in the northeast of the country, has been arrested by a joint taskforce of Department State Security and Army on charges of treason.

"The DSS reportedly stormed the Taraba Base housing the 3rd Division's second Brigade to make the arrest with support from their Army counterparts.

"Neither the Army nor the DSS has yet to make any official statement with regards to the incident.
