Korede left the staging area with his Alpha platoon on the stroke of midnight.

The Alpha Platoon was composed of the teams from the Elite units of each of Horus' Corps; the Rangers of the Scout Rangers, the Shieldbearers of the Titan Guards, the Frogmen of the Marines, and the Bravos.

Eight teams of 55 troops loaded onto two infantry carrier trucks and left the camp.
